An apparatus comprising an inner ferrule and an outer ferrule. The inner ferrule comprises a plurality of engagement sections that define a plurality of gaps between the plurality of engagement sections. The outer ferrule is disposed around at least a portion of the inner ferrule. The outer ferrule comprises an engagement area mechanically joined to the plurality of engagement sections to join the inner ferrule to the outer ferrule.

Ferrule coupling for joining ducts together

A flexible dual duct coupling, comprising: a coupling body having an inner flow passage and an outer flow passage therethrough; a first nut assembly configured for reversible attachment to the coupling body; and, a second nut assembly configured for reversible attachment to the coupling body, wherein the second nut assembly is opposite the first nut assembly.

Dual duct flexible coupling apparatus and methods of use

A method electrically separates two fluid lines across a structural boundary. Fluid is transported between a first channel through a first fluid line and a second channel through a second fluid line across the structural boundary formed by a structure. The first channel and the second channel are connected by a channel formed by a fitting. The fitting is comprised of a first component, a second component, and an isolator. The first fluid line and the second fluid line are electrically separated using the isolator in the fitting.

Bulkhead fitting

An apparatus for coupling together tubular components is described herein. The apparatus includes a coupling assembly with a coupling device having threads and an internal groove. The coupling assembly also includes a retainer clip positionable in the internal groove. The retainer clip is biased to apply a radially outward force against the internal groove when the retainer clip is positioned in the internal groove. The coupling assembly includes a ferrule, coupleable to the coupling device, in contact with the retainer clip when coupled to the coupling device to form an electrically conductive path through the coupling device, the retainer clip, and the ferrule. The retainer clip is configured to prevent movement of the coupling device relative to the ferrule when the retainer clip has an unbiased inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the ferrule or the retainer clip is not properly inserted into the internal groove.

Apparatus for coupling tubular components and associated methods

A method and apparatus for electrostatically bonding coaxial tubing. An outer tube comprises an electrically conductive material and has an inner surface. An inner tube comprises material and has an outer surface. The inner tube and the outer tube are positioned to define a channel. A bridging structure comprising an electrically conductive material is positioned such that the bridging structure forms mechanical contact and an electrostatic connection between electrically conductive material on the tubes. The bridging structure is in mechanical contact with the inner surface of the outer tube at a first plurality of points and in mechanical contact with the outer surface of the inner tube at a second plurality of points.

Electrostatic bonding of coaxial tubing

A method and apparatus for electrically separating two fluid lines across a structural boundary. Fluid is transported between a first channel through a first fluid line and a second channel through a second fluid line across the structural boundary formed by a structure. The first channel and the second channel are connected by a channel formed by a fitting. The fitting is comprised of a first component, a second component, and an isolator. The first fluid line and the second fluid line are electrically separated using the isolator in the fitting.

A method and apparatus for insulating a fluid line in a container configured to contain a fluid. The apparatus comprises a container, a fluid line in the container, and a tube. The container is configured to contain a fluid. The tube is placed around the fluid line in the container to form a channel around a first portion of the fluid line. The tube is configured to contain the fluid from the container in the channel and to prevent a first flow of the fluid between the container and the channel except through a number of ends of the tube. The tube is further configured to reduce a second flow of the fluid within the channel such that the fluid in the channel insulates the fluid line.

Stagnant fuel thermal insulation system

A non-metallic coupling for coupling a first fluid conduit to a second fluid conduit includes a sealing sleeve configured for a fluid tight sealing engagement of the first fluid conduit to the second fluid conduit. A coupling member is configured to apply a sealing force to the sealing sleeve. The coupling member includes a first portion and a second portion hingedly connected to the first portion. A latch is configured to lock the first portion to the second portion.

Non-metallic fluid coupling assemblies

An apparatus and method for testing electromagnetic effects. In one advantageous embodiment, the apparatus has a chamber, a door connected to the chamber, a gas supply system attached to the chamber, a plurality of electrical connectors attached to the chamber, a removable platform, and a specimen holding. The chamber has an opening into an interior space located in the chamber. The door closes to seal the opening and prevents a flammable gaseous mixture in the interior space from leaking out of the interior space of the chamber. The gas supply system is configured for connection to the gas supply system to allow introduction of the flammable gaseous mixture into the interior space. The removable platform is moveable into and out of the interior space of the chamber through the opening. The specimen holding system located on the removable platform and is configured to hold a specimen and is electrically connected to the plurality of electrical connectors when the removable platform is placed into the chamber, wherein an electrical current travels through the specimen when the electrical current is supplied by an electrical current source that is connected to the plurality of electrical connectors.
