Systems and methods for wide set retracting landing gear of a cargo aircraft. One embodiment is an aircraft that includes a fuselage including a nose, and a pair of main landing gears comprising a pair of main posts disposed across the fuselage, each main post having a main wheel and configured to pivot forward toward the nose to retract the main wheel. The aircraft also includes a pair of nose landing gears comprising a pair of nose posts disposed across the fuselage, each nose post having a nose wheel and configured to pivot inboard to retract the nose wheel.

An aircraft includes a fuselage with structural interfaces for connection to any one or more of a variety of vertical tails, horizontal tails and canards. Vertical tails, horizontal tails and/or canards of different sizes, shapes, sweep angles, box chords, and/or root chords may connect to the fuselage without changing the structural layout or configuration of the fuselage structural interfaces.

Multiple-position seating units, methods for operating seating units, and methods for installing seating units are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the seating unit includes a first seat portion and a second seat portion. The first seat portion has a first upper surface with a front extremity. The first seat portion can be moveable between first and second positions. In the second position, the first seat portion is tilted forwardly downwardly. The second seat portion has a second upper surface that can be configured to support at least one shin of a person. The second seat portion can be moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the second upper surface is spaced apart from the front extremity of the first seat portion.
