Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, systems, computing devices, computing entities, and/or the like for determining optimized solutions to input problems in a containerized, cloud-based (e.g., serverless) manner. In one embodiment, an example method is provided. The method comprises: receiving a problem type of an input problem originating from a client computing entity; mapping the problem type to one or more selected solver types; generating one or more container instances of one or more compute containers, each compute container corresponding to a selected solver type; generating a problem output using the one or more container instances; and providing the problem output comprising a solution to the input problem to the client computing entity. In various embodiments, optimized solutions for input problems are determined using a cloud-based multi-domain solver system configured to dynamically allocate computing and processing resources between different solution-determining tasks.

In one embodiment, an example method involves receiving a problem type of an input problem originating from a client computing entity, mapping the problem type to one or more selected solver types, generating one or more container instances of one or more compute containers with each compute container corresponding to a selected solver type, generating a problem output using the one or more container instances, and providing the problem output to the client computing entity, where the problem output includes an optimized solution to the input problem that can be used to perform one or more prediction-based actions.

Cloud-based systems for optimized multi-domain processing of input problems using multiple solver types

An apparatus and method for directing a computer system to transform a plurality of data in a planning data structure into a scheduling data structure. Each entry of the scheduling data structure has at least a start date, quantity, and duration. The method includes the steps of if the first data is a member of a cost group, setting the duration to 0 and the start date to a beginning of a month, if the first data is not a member of the cost group, determining if the first entry is new, if the first entry is new, retrieving a second data from the planning data structure, setting the quantity for the first entry in the scheduling data structure to the larger of the first data and the second data, if the first entry is at least as large as the second entry, setting the start date to a beginning of a month and the duration to approximately a month, if the first entry is smaller than the second entry, setting the start date to a date later than the beginning of the month and the duration to a value less than a month, and repeating the above steps for all the data.

Method and apparatus for transforming a resource planning data structure

A programming interface is provided in a computer graphics system which allows plural hardware display adapters to be upgraded and enhanced without correspondingly upgrading and rewriting display specific device driver code for each separate program application using the graphics system. A resource library with a standard programming interface, but specific to each display adapter is included, as well as display driver code for each adapter. Functions necessary to service the graphics model embodied in the program application are configured as device driver models and also are included within the interface of the present invention. Initially, the functions provided in the resource library are dynamically bound to expose the functionality of the desired display adapter. A second level of dynamic binding is implemented to bind the program application with the display specific code and graphic models being utilized. In this manner, numerous combinations of program applications and display adapters can be used without providing an interface for each possible combination.
