Thermoplastic bicomponent binder fiber can be combined with other media, fibers and other filtration components to form a thermally bonded filtration media. The filtration media can be used in filter units, such as breather caps. Such filter units can be placed in the stream of a mobile fluid and can remove a particulate and/or fluid mist load from the mobile stream. The unique combination of media fiber, bicomponent binder fiber and other filtration additives and components provide a filtration media having unique properties in filtration applications.

A support structure for an interior volume of a construction of pleated media is operably oriented in the interior volume and structurally supports the media. The support structure can pass directly through an innermost 60% of the interior volume. It can have a void volume not more than 80%. It can be inner liner-free and extend in a non-curved path. It can include a first sheet and second sheet of porous material. At least a first brace construction secures the first sheet and second sheet together and in spaced apart, opposing relation. The support structure can include a pleated construction having pleats extending in a direction non-parallel and angled to the direction of pleats of the pleated filter media. The support structure can be molded spacers.

Described herein are filter assemblies for removing high molecular weight organic components from liquefied petroleum gas, as well as methods for removing high molecular weight components from liquefied petroleum gases. The filter assemblies include an upstream carbon-containing filter media pack and a downstream filter media pack.

A filter is includes a housing and at least first and second adsorbent materials within the housing. The second adsorbent material has different characteristic from the first adsorbent material and is in series with the first adsorbent material. When assembled, a labyrinth arrangement is located between a first port in the housing and the first adsorbent material such that gas travels between the first port and the first adsorbent material by passing through the labyrinth arrangement. A filtration system and methods for humidity control of a liquid tank head space uses a filter, including first and second adsorbent and a diffusion channel or labyrinth arrangement.
