Two embodiments for a stent delivery catheter are disclosed. In the first embodiment, the stent delivery catheter comprises an outer sheath, a peel-away sheath, and an inner sheath. In the second embodiment, the stent delivery catheter comprises an outer sheath and an inner tubular member which distally ends in a tongue having an arcuate cross section.

Insertion device for stents and methods for use

A system and method for performing cryosurgery of the prostate while protecting surrounding tissue. Cryosurgical probes are provided with argon gas for cooling and with helium for warming. Probes are inserted into the prostate and supplied with argon gas for cooling, while probes inserted into the surrounding tissue and supplied with helium gas for warming. The warmed probes protect the surrounding tissue from freezing.
