A flight schedule disruption awareness system and method is configured to provide situational awareness of flight disruptions that affect a flight schedule for a plurality of flights. The flight schedule disruption awareness system includes a disruption determination control unit that is configured to receive a plurality of flight schedule update inputs related to flight schedule updates to the flight schedule. The disruption determination control unit determines a root cause flight disruption from the plurality of flight schedule update inputs. The root cause flight disruption affects flights of a plurality of aircraft.

Flight schedule disruption awareness systems and methods

A flight schedule disruption awareness system is configured to provide situational awareness of flight disruptions that affect a flight schedule for one or more flights. The flight schedule disruption awareness system includes a disruption determination control unit that is configured to receive a plurality of flight schedule update inputs related to flight schedule updates to the flight schedule. The disruption determination control unit determines one or more flight disruptions from the plurality of flight schedule update inputs. A display is operatively coupled to the disruption determination control unit. The disruption determination control unit shows delays caused by the flight disruption(s) on the display.

A method of manufacturing an aircraft. A plurality of documents, each comprising corresponding unstructured text and each being from a different source, is received at a processor, a particular document being in the plurality of documents. The particular document is selected by the processor based on a policy. The corresponding unstructured text for the particular document is converted by the processor into a structured language. The structured language is compiled by the processor into rules for a rules engine comprising software stored on a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. The rules for the rules engine are parsed by the processor into a set of rules. The aircraft is constructed according to the set of rules.

A computer-implemented method for providing a real-time global view of airline operations situational awareness is provided. The method is implemented using a situational awareness server system in communication with client systems and data sources. The method includes gathering a plurality of situational awareness data from a plurality of data sources including real-time data, updating the situational awareness data based on one or more business rules, augmenting the updated situational awareness data based on historical data, and determining whether to generate one or more alerts based on the augmented situational awareness data.

Method and systems for integrated global view of operations

A method for creating, executing and communicating customized, automated checklists may include dynamically creating a customized checklist including a plurality of checklist items. The method may also include transmitting a notification to a predetermined recipient that the customized checklist is available. The method may additionally include displaying the customized checklist on an interface device in response to the customized checklist being selected by the recipient. The method may additionally include updating a status of each checklist item in response to each checklist item being completed. The method may further include determining if a new checklist is available during execution of an existing checklist and allowing a user to switch to the new checklist during the execution of the existing checklist.

A method and apparatus for exchanging information between a source and an aircraft. In response to a request to exchange the information between the aircraft and the source, a number of aircraft is identified to send microwave signals between the source and the aircraft to form a number of identified aircraft based on a location of the aircraft and a location of the source. The number of identified aircraft is configured to send the microwave signals between the source and the aircraft to form a number of configured aircraft. The number of configured aircraft forms a mobile network. The microwave signals are sent between the source and the aircraft using the number of configured aircraft. The information is exchanged between the aircraft and the source using the microwave signals sent through the mobile network.

In one specific example, such prioritization is then used in communicating, e.g., dispatching, the data. The method is facilitated by a system, which automatically retrieves data related to a situation from a plurality of aviation enterprise systems, processes the data retrieved in real time and generates a situational awareness data that is presented in an optimal format to a user on an interface device. Processing of the data retrieved from the plurality of aviation enterprise systems comprises correlating the data in accordance with business rules and interpreting the data in view of previously stored historical information that relates to the situation. The situational awareness data generated is further processed in view of a user profile in order to create a viewable situational awareness data that has been optimized for presentation to an identified user of the system in accordance with the user profile.
