In an electrode assembly for a catheter system, a plurality of struts extends from a proximal end to a distal end of the electrode assembly. Each strut has a longitudinally extending proximal leg, a longitudinally extending distal leg, and a center segment extending between and interconnecting the proximal leg and the distal leg. Each strut includes at least one electrode thereon, as well as one or more hinged aspects.

Electrode assembly for catheter system

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward systems and methods for detecting force applied to a distal tip of a medical catheter. A medical catheter includes a deformable body near a distal tip of the catheter that deforms in response to a force applied at the distal tip, and a sensor detects various components of the deflection. Processor circuitry may then, based on the detected components of the deformation, determine a force applied to the distal tip of the catheter.

In an electrode assembly for a catheter system, a plurality of struts extends from a proximal end to a distal end of the electrode assembly. The outer layer includes a braided wire assembly that includes at least two wires braided into a wire mesh, and further includes a see-through portion positioned proximate a pull wire extraction location to facilitate extraction.

The present disclosure is directed to electrode assemblies, and specifically to struts comprising electrode assemblies and electrodes contained on the struts. The electrode assembly struts are constructed to have a low profile and to have superior strength over the length of the strut such that an electrode assembly including the strut is highly resistant to radial compression. The electrodes included on the low profile, high strength strut also is designed to have a reduced profile such that electrode assemblies including the strut and electrode can easily be used with 6 French and smaller guide catheter assemblies.

The present disclosure provides a strong, flexible catheter shaft for use in a catheter system. The flexible catheter shaft includes a braided polyimide tube including one or more outer layers of material of varying flexibility. The flexible catheter shaft provides a shaft having sufficient stiffness and kink resistance to allow an operator to advance an electrode basket connected to the flexible catheter shaft through a guide catheter to a target ablation site without causing vessel trauma. The distal tip of the flexible catheter shaft is designed to have sufficient flexibility to reduce any risk of kicking out a guide catheter when tracking the electrode basket around turns into side branches or bifurcations in the vasculature of a patient and includes a distal spring coil.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to delivery devices, methods, and systems for delivering an implant to a target site. In one embodiment, a delivery device includes a core member defining a proximal end and a distal end and an outer winding defining a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the outer winding surrounds and is coupled to the core member. The outer winding extends at least partially between the proximal end of the core member and the distal end of the core member, and the outer winding is configured for displacement within a delivery catheter. The delivery device further includes a coupling member at the distal end of the core member configured to releasably attach to an implant.

Devices and methods for delivering vascular implants

An occluder for sealing gaps between a medical device and adjacent body tissue includes an expandable body configured to fill the gaps between the medical device and the body tissue. The occluder includes a fastener at one end of the body and adapted to couple to a first end of the medical device, and an expandable disk at the other end of the body and adapted to couple to the medical device at a position spaced from the first end.
