The present disclosure includes a coil protection assembly configured to be incorporated into a piece of sports equipment such as a glove, shin guard, or shoulder pad. The coil protection assembly may include a coil element spiraled to form a plurality of loops. The coil protection assembly may also have a foam layer disposed on the interior surface of the coil element. An outer layer may enclose or encase the coil element and the foam layer with the loops free to move with respect to one another, A strip of liner material may be secured to the outer layer to connect the loop together. The liner material may be an elastic material to allow the loops to move away from each other, yet still retract back to a default position.

The garment bag of the present invention offers two means of hanging garments, both on the interior and on the exterior of the bag. The interior hangers are used when packing, storing, and transporting the user's garments. The exterior collapsible and removable rack is employed when the bag is used at an event/competition. This hanging system is an improvement over existing dance bags in two distinct ways: the upright bag design with the interior hangers allows the user to effectively fit, store, and organize their garments while existing bags lack the interior storage and hanging system; and the present bag provides a collapsible and removable rack that is easily set up and inserted into the bag's exterior holders for holding the garments external to the bag when at an event/competition. Existing dance bags with similar racks require a more difficult assembly and the bag must lie horizontal rather than upright.

The present invention replaces the traditional steel and plastic construction primarily used in sports equipment bags to provide a novel sports equipment bag with flexibility, durability, strength, and a net weight reduction. The sports bag of the present invention integrates optionally removable composite rods into the frame structure of a sports bag to allow for significant flexibility and compression thereof for general transport, storage, shipping and handling purposes, and yet the sports bag is also capable of holding a semi-rigid exterior to a given volume and shape when in regular use. The present invention also discloses a sports equipment bag with a novel folding floor to assist with the flexible and collapsible nature of a sports equipment bag.

The apparatus for hands free holding of an article to hat has a substantially stiff lower clamp with a shape contoured to match a hat and two planar surfaces to provide grip support integral with the first planar surface, a substantially stiff upper clamp with engaging two arms integrally secured to the first planar surface, wherein the inner arm slides inside the crown with one side resting alongside the head of the user and the other side resting against the inside of the crown, and wherein the outer arm that is substantially parallel to the inner arm and spaced enough from the inner arm to attach removably to the crown; a spring fixedly secured to the base of the outer arm and extending away from the base substantially parallel to and to secure removably an article; and a soft outer clamp secured to the spring for additionally holding the article.
