Provided are a tape drive cleaning device, tape drive library deploying a tape drive cleaning device, and method for using a tape drive cleaning device. The tape drive cleaning device is used to clean a tape drive having a tape drive loader tray in which a tape cartridge is inserted. The tape drive cleaning device includes a body and a material attached to the body. Dimensions of the body with the material are configured to fit into the tape drive loader tray to have the material engage a tray inner surfaces of the tape drive loader tray. The material is configured to collect debris on the tray inner surfaces when engaged with the tray inner surface.

A system may include one or more tape drives. A front portion of the one or more tape drives may be exposed to allow access to one or more respective tape cartridges of each of the one or more tape drives. The system may include one or more servers. The one or more servers may control the one or more tape drives. The system may include one or more ports communicatively connected to the one or more tape drives. Each of the one or more ports may respectively be associated with a specific sensor. Each of the specific sensors may record a specific datum. The system my include one or more power supplies.

Portable tape storage on a mobile platform

A system for controlling at least one environmental condition within at least one data storage library. The system may include at least one enclosure surrounding at least a portion of at least one data storage library. The system may also include at least one environmental conditioning unit fluidly connected to the at least one enclosure via at least one duct, wherein the at least one environmental conditioning unit is configured to control at least one environmental condition (e.g., temperature and/or humidity) within the at least one enclosure and within the at least one data storage library.

System for controlling environmental conditions within an automated data storage library

A system and method for controlling at least one environmental condition within at least one data storage library. The system may include at least one data storage library, the at least one data storage library having at least one component bay therein. The system may also include at least one adapter configured to fit within the at least one component bay, and/or at least one environmental conditioning device connected to the at least one adapter, wherein the at least one environmental conditioning device is configured to control at least one environmental condition within the at least one data storage library.

System and method for controlling environmental conditions within an automated data storage library

A method of controlling at least one environmental condition within a data storage library, including providing at least one enclosure configured to surround at least one ventilation opening of the data storage library and to form a chamber around at least the at least one ventilation opening, and providing at least one enclosure environmental conditioning unit fluidly connected to the at least one enclosure to provide conditioned air into the chamber. The method may also include providing air from the at least one enclosure environmental conditioning unit into the chamber such that air provided into the chamber enters the data storage library through the at least one ventilation opening.
