A prosthesis can be configured to grasp intralumenal tissue when deployed within a body cavity and prevent axial flow of fluid around an exterior of the prosthesis. The prosthesis can include an expandable frame configured to radially expand and contract for deployment within the body cavity and a valve body. The expandable frame can include a frame body and a supplemental frame. The valve body can include a plurality of leaflets and one or more intermediate components. The one or more intermediate components can couple at least a portion of the leaflets to the expandable frame. The prosthesis can include an annular flap positioned around an exterior of the expandable frame.

Replacement heart valve prosthesis

Valve repair systems and clips attachable to one or more leaflets of a heart valve. The systems and clips can have center member, first and second clipping arms, and a tubular member. The first and second clipping arms are movable between an open position and a closed position. The clipping arms including respective first end portions coupled together and respective second end portions extendable axially and radially outward. The tubular member is disposed about the first end portion of the center member and first end portions of the first and second clipping arms. Axial motion of the tubular member relative to the center member or axial motion of the center member relative to the tubular member causes corresponding movement of the clipping arms between the open and closed positions. Other implementations are also disclosed.

This application relates to methods, systems, and apparatus for replacing native heart valves with prosthetic heart valves and treating valvular insufficiency. In a representative embodiment, a support frame configured to be implanted in a heart valve comprises a main body formed by formed by a plurality of inner members forming an inner clover and a plurality of outer members forming an outer clover. The support frame can include gaps located between inner members of the plurality of inner members and outer members of the plurality of outer members. The inner clover can be radially inside the outer clover, and the outer clover can have larger dimensions than the inner clover. The support frames herein can be radially expandable and collapsible.

The invention may include a catheter having a cutting element shaft with a cutting element configured to puncture a valve leaflet and/or make a controlled cut through the leaflet. The device may have an extendable foot configured to be positioned on an opposite side of the valve leaflet from the cutting element shaft. The device may include magnets to guide the cutting element and/or cutting element shaft in proper alignment with the extendable foot and to hold the elements in place during leaflet bisection.

This application relates to methods, systems, and apparatus for replacing native heart valves with prosthetic heart valves and treating valvular insufficiency. In some implementations, a heart valve leaflet clipping mechanism includes a delivery apparatus and clipping arms. The clipping arms are coupled to the delivery apparatus. The clipping arms are movable between an open position and a closed position. The two clipping arms are biased to the closed position. The delivery apparatus is configured to hold the clipping arms in the open position. The delivery apparatus is configured to allow the clipping arms to move to the closed position to engage native heart valve leaflet tissue.

Heart valve implantation methods

A coronary artery check valve includes a stent configured to attach to an inner wall of a coronary artery of a living subject, and a tapered helical coil coupled to the stent and configured to regulate blood flow in the coronary artery. The coronary artery check valve is configured to prevent retrograde flow of the coronary blood supply during diastole by closing during systole of the heart when the tapered helical coil compresses longitudinally, and opening when the tapered helical coil expands longitudinally to permit blood flow into the coronary artery when a coronary pressure of the living subject drops below diastolic blood pressure.

Coronary artery check valve

Pinch devices and access systems that can be used to secure a prosthetic heart valve to a heart valve annulus and to treat valvular insufficiency. A pinch device can be a separate expandable element from the prosthetic heart valve that is first advanced to the annulus and deployed, after which an expandable prosthetic heart valve can be advanced to within the annulus and deployed. The two elements can clamp/pinch the heart valve leaflets to hold the prosthetic heart valve in place. The pinch device can have a flexible, expandable annular frame. A combined delivery system can deliver the pinch device and prosthetic heart valve with just a single access point and aid more accurate coaxial deployment. The pinch device can be mounted near distal end of an access sheath, and a catheter for delivering the prosthetic heart valve can be passed through a lumen of the same access sheath.

Valve repair systems and clips for attachment to one or more leaflets of a heart valve. The clip can include an elongated member configured to be positioned between two leaflets of the heart valve. The elongated member can have a first portion and a second portion that extends from the first portion. A width of the second portion can be greater than the width of the first portion. A pair of arms can be coupled to the first portion and extend toward the second portion. The pair of arms can extend radially away from the elongated member as the pair of arms extend away from the first portion toward the second portion when the arms are in an open position. And the pair of arms can be moveable from the open position to a closed position to pinch each leaflet between one of the arms and the elongated member.
