This disclosure relates to orthopaedic implant systems and methods for restoring functionality to a bone and/or joint. The implant systems disclosed herein may include a taper locking mechanism to limit or otherwise oppose separation between components and may include one or more flanges adapted to abut an exterior of the bone.

Orthopaedic implant systems including fixation features and methods of repair

This disclosure relates to orthopaedic implants and methods for restoring functionality to a bone and/or joint. The implants disclosed herein may be dimensioned and/or positioned relative to a bone to establish a constraint. The implants may include an articular surface establishing the constraint. The articular surface may have different radii of curvature to establish a non-spherical contour.

Orthopaedic systems and methods for defect indication

Apparatus and methods for preparing a bone socket, such as the glenoid of the scapula, to receive a prosthetic component. The apparatus is an orthopedic instrument (reamer) used for the preparation of bone surface for the insertion of an implant. The reamer includes an elongate shaft, a connecting system (for example, a quick connect system), and a cutting head having a specific configuration, i.e., in the shape of a Nautilus shell having a logarithmic spiral. The cutting head is provided with a plurality of spokes that have different radii or lengths (that confer a non-constant non-uniform radius to the overall cutting head).

Nautilus glenoid reamer

A humeral component of a shoulder prosthesis encloses a stem module which has a shank and an upper shank portion with a stem support surface. A joint adapter is adapted to hold either a liner or a spherical cap. The joint adapter has an adapter support surface which interfaces with the stem support surface. Further, the stem support surface and the adapter support surface have corresponding radial arc shaped sections which allow positioning of the joint adapter against the stem module at different inclination angles. For fastening the joint adapter to the stem module, a bolt or screw is provided.

Humeral component of a shoulder prosthesis

A humeral prosthesis includes a stem component with a lateral stem body and a head component joined by an inclination component or block. The stem component and the inclination component are provided with openings/holes/fenestrations/eyelets that allow attachment of soft tissue (and optional fracture repair). A first plurality of suture holes are provided to the lateral stem body and a second plurality of suture holes are provided on the medial aspect of the inclination block. These suture holes are intended for subscapularis or lesser tuberosity reattachments. Inclination angle, radial offset, and version are adjustable and are separately and independently set and fixed.

Fenestrated humeral prosthesis and methods of shoulder arthroplasty

A humeral prosthesis includes a stem component and a head component joined by an inclination component. The inclination component is provided with an opening that is designed to accommodate a pair of expandable tabs extending from a side of a plate. The plate is also provided with a taper extending opposite to the pair of expandable tabs. Inclination angle, radial offset, and version are adjustable and are separately and independently set and fixed.

Shoulder prosthesis

A parallel drill guide and system which maintains contact on the bone at various angles. The parallel drill guide comprises a fixed sleeve and a parallel, axially slidable, sleeve for guiding the insertion of two parallel wires or pins into bone at any angle while maintaining contact between the bone and the guide. The drill guide is also provided with a locking mechanism that locks the slidable sleeve into position at any lateral distance relative to the fixed sleeve, using a novel off-axis locking device.

Parallel drill guide

Apparatus and methods for fixation of bone to bone, or soft tissue to bone. The apparatus comprises two fixation devices (for example, two buttons) joined by a biologic material (for example, a graft or tendon). Each fixation device is provided with at least one opening that allows the passage of the flexible material attached to the biologic material. The button may be formed, for example, of metal, PEEK or PLLA.
