An appliance housing assembly is configured for improved load distribution. The assembly includes first and second side panels, each including a pair of vertical support columns configured to carry the loads of the appliance to the appliance support surface. The assembly further includes common components that can be use across various different assembly configurations.

Housing assembly for an appliance

An appliance includes a hinge assembly for coupling a door to a housing or body of the appliance. The hinge assembly can include a body-mounted component, such as a body-mounted hinge or a body-mounted receiver. The body-mounted component is secured to a vertical support of the appliance. A mating component of the body-mounted hinge or body-mounted receiver is attached to the door.

A convection oven includes a heating element made of a single coil formed into a pair of concentric loops. The concentric loops are disposed in parallel planes to improve the thermal efficiency and power requirements of the convection oven.

Convection heating element

An oven includes a support frame for improved load distribution. The support frame includes a vertical support column that can include an elongated bead provided in a wall of the vertical support column. The support frame can also include a base rail. A bottom end of the vertical support column can terminate in an embossed pocked formed within the base rail.
