An apparatus for a hybrid tracking and mapping is described herein. The apparatus includes logic to determine a plurality of depth sensing techniques. The apparatus also includes logic to vary the plurality of depth sensing techniques based on a camera configuration. Additionally, the apparatus includes logic to generate a hybrid tracking and mapping pipeline based on the depth sensing techniques and the camera configuration.

The wheelchair with enhanced toilet access includes a frame which includes a pair of laterally-separated side frame portions, with primary wheels as well as at least one secondary wheel rotatably mounted on the frame. A seat extends between the side frame portions, and includes a stationary portion and a movable portion.

Wireless repeaters comprising antennae having high electrical isolation are presented. Multi-band antennae are placed on opposing sides of a conductive ground plane to achieve high electrical isolation, preferably higher than 30 dB. The antennae are preferably placed at a distanced from the ground plane that is less than 0.5 wavelengths of a frequency associated with frequency bands to which the antennae are responsive. The presented antennae system reduces the minimum amount of isolation required for stable operation.

A wheelchair with enhanced toilet access has a frame including a pair of laterally-separated side frame portions, with primary wheels as well as at least one secondary wheel rotatably mounted on the frame. A seat extends between the side frame portions, and includes a stationary portion and a movable portion. The stationary portion has an opening and the movable portion is positionable in the opening. The movable portion is pivotable between a normal position that closes the opening in the stationary portion and a dropped position that opens the opening in the stationary portion. A seat moving mechanism is configured to move the movable portion of the seat with respect to the stationary portion to thereby move the movable portion between the normal and dropped positions.

A system and method provide for determining in a computer system the intersections between a plurality of rays residing in three dimensional (3D) space and one or more surface elements residing in the 3D space. The rays or lines corresponding to the rays share a common intersection point. The method includes for each of the rays, storing the intersection point of the ray with a projection surface in the 3D space in a data structure in the computer system. For each of the surface elements, determining using projection a two-dimensional (2D) region representing the projection of the surface element onto the projection surface; and determining using intersection testing which points stored in the data structure are inside the 2D region. The points determined to be inside the 2D region represent intersection points between the surface element and the rays corresponding to the points.

Antenna for mobile telephones or the like

An apparatus for reducing hearing aid radio frequency (RF) interference including a directional multi-band and/or single band antenna for use with PWDs such as digital cellphones is disclosed. The apparatus greatly reduces or eliminates the audio noise induced in hearing aids by the PWDs and allows operation of a hearing aid during PWD operation. In operation, the apparatus may be provided on the PWD side away from the user's head. The apparatus may be integrated into the PWB during its manufacture or provided as an after market assembly for a PWD that has a port for connection of an external antenna. The apparatus provides for improved front-to-back ratio as compared to antennas currently in use on PWD's, and therefore also reduces SAR (specific absorption rate), the level of RF energy received into the head by a PWD.

Device and method of use for reducing hearing aid RF interference

In a first aspect, an antenna for use at a particular frequency or in a frequency band including said particular frequency, comprises a conductive ground plane having a length in at least one dimension of about a quarter wavelength at said particular frequency or more, and first and second crossed conductive driven elements arrayed over at least a portion of said ground plane, wherein the elements in the region in which they cross are spaced apart so as to avoid electrical contact and any substantial capacitive coupling to each other, each element is about a quarter wavelength electrically at said particular frequency, each element has at least one end portion generally perpendicular to said ground plane and at least one further portion, said elements and ground plane generally defining a volume, at least one end of each driven element is electrically coupled to said ground plane, and the elements are fed ninety degrees out of phase with respect to each other. In a second aspect, an antenna component, comprises a conductive antenna element, a capacitor electrically coupled to said element, the capacitor having plates and a dielectric between the plates, wherein at least one of the plates of said capacitor comprises at least a portion of at least a segment of said conductive antenna element, and a conductive member, at least a portion thereof comprising at least one other plate of said capacitor, wherein the capacitor dielectric includes at least in part a moldable dielectric shaped to hold the plates of the capacitor with respect to each other.

Wide beamwidth ultra-compact antenna with multiple polarization

A conveyor system for use in coal mines and the like for automatically sensing by means of a gob switch positioned above the conveyor belt when a build-up of coal occurs because of an obstruction on the belt, and automatically activating a reciprocable operable ram which pushes the obstacle from the conveyor belt. The ram is electrically operated by means of a drive chain and includes a reversing switch for reversing the direction of ram movement at the point of furthest ram extension. The obstruction removing apparatus may be positioned to push the obstruction in a direction parallel to or transversely of the direction of movement of the second belt.

Obstruction clearing apparatus for mining conveyors

A system particularly useful for feeding antennas employing one electrical wavelength closed loop driven elements. Single or dual wire transmission line sections provide impedance match between the high voltage, high impedance feed point on the loop and a low impedance antenna feed line. Selectable polarization with high isolation between feed lines is provided by the connection of a second transmission line section to a point located 90 electrical degrees away on the loop, at the current maximum when the other feed point is excited.
