The invention is directed to a novel manually overrideable heat sensitive valve. In a particular embodiment, this invention is directed to a novel faucet aerator which contains the valve. The faucet aerator, when affixed to a water faucet, can stop the flow of water when harmful temperatures are reached. The invention incorporates an external bypass means enabling the user to access higher temperatures when needed or to restart the flow of water. The Anti-Scald Aerator comprises (a) a thermal actuated valving means for automatically restricting the flow of water; (b) air and water mixing means (Aerator Component) for producing a foam-like flow of water; (c) Manually operated reset or bypass means for overriding the thermal valve; and (d) connecting housing means for securing the aerator to a water supply.

Manual override heat sensitive valve

This invention is directed to a novel bag sealing machine. More particularly, this invention is directed to a novel machine which can be used for sealing and securing bags which are loaded and held in boxes. The bags in the boxes are loaded from the top with a designated product before the opening at the top of the bag is sealed by the machine. A bag sealing apparatus comprising: (a) conveyor means for conveying through the apparatus a loaded bag which has an opening at the top of the bag; (b) upwardly bag wall forcing means for forcing the open end of the bag upwardly into gripping means, said gripping means drawing the gripped portion of the bag together to accumulate the gripped portion of the bag into a neck-like portion; (c) bag side support means located downstream from the upwardly bag wall forcing means for supporting the side of the bag and drawing it in a downstream direction along the conveyor means; (d) neck accepting and accumulating means located downstream from the upwardly bag wall forcing means for accepting and accumulating the neck of the bag as formed by the gripping means upstream; and, (e) means for applying a fastening means about the circumference of the accumulated neck of the bag after it has been accepted by the neck accepting and accumulating means.

Bag sealing machine

This invention is directed to a high speed cold adhesive curing process and apparatus therefor, useful in the assembly and fastening together of fibrous surfaces such as the surfaces of corrugated Kraft paper cardboard boxes. The invention is directed to a process for adhering two fibrous surfaces together by means of a liquid cold cure adhesive comprising: (a) spraying liquid cold cure adhesive on the interface surface of one of the fibrous surfaces in a thin discrete particle pattern; and (b) pressing the two fibrous surfaces together under high pressure sufficient to cause the solvent carrier in the cold cure adhesive to disperse into the interstices of the fibres of the two surfaces, thereby enabling the cold cure adhesive particles to rapidly secure the two surfaces together.
