Thermally insulated shipping system for use in transporting a pallet-sized payload. In one embodiment, the system includes a plurality of thermally insulating walls arranged to define an interior volume suitable for receiving a pallet-sized payload. The thermally insulating walls include a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a left wall, and a right wall, of which all but the bottom wall include at least two slots facing towards the interior volume. One of the slots is an inner slot that is more proximal to the interior volume, and one of the slots is an outer slot that is more distal to the interior volume. The system also includes a plurality of inner cassettes disposed in at least some of the inner slots and a plurality of outer cassettes disposed in at least some of the outer slots. The inner and outer cassettes include phase-change materials.

Thermally insulated shipping system for pallet-sized payload, methods of making and using the same, and kit for use therein

Shipping system for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials. In one embodiment, the system includes an outer box having four side walls, bottom closure flaps, and top closure flaps. A vacuum insulated panel (VIP) is detachably coupled to one of the top closure flaps and is removably covered by a cover. An insulation unit is removably positioned within the outer box, the insulation unit including a plurality of VIPs arranged to define a cavity bounded by a bottom wall and four side walls. A disposable liner is removably mounted on the insulation unit. The liner may be a thermoformed sheet and may cover the interior and top surfaces of the insulation unit. A plurality of temperature-control members and a product box may be removably positioned in the liner. Preferably, the liner is shaped so that the temperature-control members snugly fit around all sides of the product box.

Shipping system for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials

The present invention provides an automated camera assembly comprising a camera (e.g., a digital camera) having a field of vision and a detector for detecting a subject and triggering the camera. The detector has an adjustable field of view and includes a sensor (e.g., an IR sensor) having a maximum field of view, and a curtain for reducing the maximum field of view to an adjusted field of view. The curtain comprises at least two sections (e.g., opaque members) coupled to move together from a first position corresponding with the maximum field of view to a second position corresponding with the adjusted field of view smaller than the maximum field of view. Movement of the curtain relative to the sensor can be linear, pivotal, radial, or any other suitable movement.

Automated camera assembly with infrared detector curtain

An apparatus and method to cool compressors, condensing coils, and similar devices. The compressor or condensing coil is cooled by the delivery of water, which may be ambient temperature or chilled. In one embodiment, the water is delivered to a mesh filter or screen via one or more mist spray nozzles. Water conduits may be integrated with the filter frame. The method to control the delivery of the water is designed to conserve water. The control circuit comprises a microcontroller device which contains programming that receives inputs, including but not limited to, outside ambient air temperature, condenser liquid line temperature, relative humidity and electric current, and uses said inputs to provide a stepwise level of control ('solenoid open time') of water delivery commensurate with outside air temperature and relative humidity.

Cooling method and apparatus

An automated camera assembly comprising a camera and a detector for triggering the camera, wherein the detector includes an adjustable field of view. The detector can include a sensor and a curtain for reducing a maximum field of view to an adjusted field of view. The curtain can include an opaque member movable relative to the sensor. The curtain can instead include a processor programmed to trigger the camera when the subject is within the adjusted field of view. The invention is also embodied in a method of adjusting a field of view of a detector. The method comprises detecting a first subject within a maximum field of view, triggering the camera after detecting the first subject within the maximum field of view, adjusting to an adjusted field of view, detecting a second subject within the adjusted field of view, and triggering the camera after detecting the second subject.

An electronic handheld device with remote cable release mechanism, a handle portion and method for performing the same. The device includes a housing defining an internal cavity and has an elastically deformable flexible portion. An electrical connector block is disposed in the cavity and includes a female receptacle configured for receiving a male electrical cable connector having a movable locking clip configured to releasably engage the connector block. An actuating protrusion is preferably disposed on the flexible portion of the housing for releasing the cable connector. The protrusion is movable towards the connector block in response to the application of an inward pressing force on the flexible portion. The protrusion operates to depress the locking clip on the cable connector, thereby releasing the cable connector. In another embodiment, a resealable dimple may be provided in the flexible portion which can be punctured via a probe to access the locking clip.

The building system employs precast corners (16) and elongated walls (12) with integral footings (14 and 18) to construct a foundation and basement. Precast first elongated wall sections (50) and corner sections (52) and floor slabs form a first level. Upper level wall sections (74), corner sections (76) and floor slabs (72) form an upper level. Gable sections (90), a ridge beam (92) and roof slabs (94) form a roof. The precast members all include a steel mesh reinforcement (102, 104 and 106). Sections are rigidly connected together at their ends (58 and 68) by connector assemblies (108 and 160) that are connected directly to the reinforcement (102). The sections are secured together by sheebolts (120) that extend vertically from a lower section into an upper section.

Precast concrete construction and construction method

An outrigger sailboat having a drive outrigger hull is disclosed herein. A pair of movable keels is rotatably connected to a bottom portion of the drive outrigger hull. The movable keels are adapted to rotate in opposite directions. A pair of masts is mounted on the outrigger hull. Each of the masts receives a sail. The drive outrigger hull is connected to a load hull by a connector frame. The outrigger sailboat is preferably sailed with the load hull to windward and the drive outrigger hull to leeward. The load hull holds the drive outrigger hull upright even in strong winds. The movable keels act as both keels and rudders to provide directional control.

Outrigger sailboat

A sail furling apparatus having a fixed core for connection to a wind powered device is disclosed herein. A rotatable sail sleeve having a bore formed therein is rotatably mounted on the fixed core. A double sheet airfoil sail is connected to the rotatable sail sleeve. A boom sleeve is mounted beneath the rotatable sail sleeve and engages the core. A boom is connected to the boom sleeve and is positioned perpendicular to the core, the sail sleeve and the boom sleeve. A freely rotatable eccentric sheath substantially surrounds the sail sleeve. The freely rotatable eccentric sheath has a slot and the airfoil sail passes through the slot. A furling apparatus is used to rotate the sail sleeve to draw the airfoil sail into the eccentric sheath or release it from the eccentric sheath.
