A unitarily formed expandable spinal implant for insertion in a disc space between two adjacent vertebrae. The unitarily formed expandable spinal implant is moveable from an unexpanded configuration to an expanded configuration, and can be manufactured by a 3-dimensional printer. The unitarily formed expandable spinal implant includes an upper portion, a lower portion, a proximal wall, a first distal wall portion, a second distal wall portion, and a separator connected by at least one point of attachment to the spinal implant. A separation tool breaks the separator free from the at least one point of attachment, and moves the separator within the implant to force expansion thereof from the unexpanded configuration to the expanded configuration.

Unitarily formed expandable spinal implant and method of manufacturing and implanting same

Apparatus and methods for spinal surgery include a retractor with an elongated body extending along a longitudinal axis between a distal end and an opposite proximal end. The retractor defines a passage between the distal and proximal ends and a window opening into the passage adjacent to the distal end. The apparatus also includes a guide member extending laterally from the proximal end of the retractor and the guide member includes a body extending along an arc. The body defines a number of trajectories each intersecting the window of the retractor. The apparatus further includes an instrument removably mounted to the guide member and the instrument is movable along the guide member and securable to the guide member in any one of the number of trajectories so that the instrument can be moved along the selected trajectory through the window.

A sacro-iliac implant includes a body having a proximal portion and a distal tip. The proximal portion includes an inner surface and a uniform diameter. The inner surface includes a first mating surface engageable with a first instrument surface and a second mating surface engageable with a second instrument surface. Sacro-iliac joint implant system and method

Laminoplasty plates are engageable to at least one portion of a divided lamina to maintain a desired spacing relative to the spinal canal. The laminoplasty plates include a spacer portion having a first end and a second end that spans a gap formed by at least one of a divided lamina portion. The laminoplasty plates can include a lamina engagement portion at one end for engagement with the divided lamina portion.

A method comprising the steps of: providing an implant support including a first portion frangibly connected to a second portion that defines an implant cavity and supports a bone fastener; connecting a surgical introducer instrument with the implant support and engaging the surgical introducer instrument with the bone fastener; percutaneously introducing the surgical introducer instrument, implant support and bone fastener assembly to a surgical site including tissue; attaching the second portion with the bone fastener to the tissue; and removing the first portion from the second portion. Spinal implant system and methods of use

A surgical retractor comprises a support comprising a first mating part comprising a shaft, which defines a longitudinal axis, extending therefrom. At least one tissue engaging member extends between a first end defining a first axis and a second end defining a second axis and having a tissue engaging surface disposed along the second axis. The first end comprises a second mating part comprising a wall that defines an elongated cavity disposed along the first axis and being configured to receive the shaft such that the first axis and the longitudinal axis are co-axial. The wall is engageable with the shaft to align the second mating part with the first mating part such that the second axis intersects the longitudinal axis. Methods of use are disclosed.

Surgical retractor assembly and method

A surgical instrument comprises a first wall defining a cavity disposed for communication with a suction source and extending between a first end and a second end. The first end includes at least a portion of a valve disposed for communication with the cavity. The second end includes at least a portion of an implant engaging surface. A second wall is connected to the first wall and extending between a first end and a second end. The first end includes an impact surface and the second end includes at least a portion of the implant engaging surface. Methods of use are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and method

A collar for extenders and an extender assembly including a collar is disclosed. The collar is configured to receive extenders and maintain the extenders in a parallel orientation so as to prevent splaying and premature beak-off of the extenders from the spine. Methods of use are disclosed.

A bone fastener includes a proximal member having an inner surface that defines an implant cavity and an outer surface including a first threaded portion configured for penetrating fixation with tissue and a second portion. The proximal member defines a longitudinal axis. An intermediate member includes an inner surface extending between a proximal portion connected with the second portion and a distal portion. A distal member includes an outer surface extending between a proximal portion disposed with the distal portion of the intermediate member and a distal portion configured for penetrating fixation with tissue. Bone fastener and methods of use

A spinal fixation device may include a bone anchoring member, a rod receiver, and an connection member. The rod receiver may include a channel for receiving a rod projection from a first adjacent fixation assembly. The rod receiver may have a central axis such that the channel is generally perpendicular to the central axis. The connection member may have a rod projection configured to extend to a second adjacent fixation assembly. The rod receiver may be coupled to the connection member and rotatable about the central axis of the rod receiver. The interior fixation assembly may be axially fixed such that the bone anchoring member, the rod receiver and the connection member are not translatably movable relative to each other.
