In some examples, an electronic device includes an outer housing an outer housing including a recess to receive a peripheral module. In addition, the electronic device includes a mounting assembly to move the peripheral module into and out of the recess of the outer housing. The mounting assembly is moveably coupled to the outer housing. The mounting assembly includes a latch mechanism to removably attach the mounting assembly to the peripheral module. The mounting assembly includes a first electrical connector to removably connect to a second electrical connector of the peripheral module. The latch mechanism includes an arm and a lip to move into and out of engagement with a shoulder of the peripheral module. The lip is disposed along the arm.

Mounting assemblies for peripheral modules

An example electronic device includes an outer housing, a shoulder connected to the outer housing, and a mounting assembly moveably coupled to the outer housing to mount a peripheral module. The mounting assembly has a rotatable arm biased to a first angular position. The rotatable arm is to remain in the first angular position when a first peripheral module is mounted, whereby the mounting assembly is moveable to extend the first peripheral module to a first clearance distance. The rotatable arm is rotatable to a second angular position in response to mounting a second peripheral module, whereby the mounting assembly is moveable to engage the rotatable arm against the first shoulder and to extend the second peripheral module to a second clearance distance that is less than the first distance.

In some examples, an apparatus includes a housing and a mounting plate to fixably attach to the housing. The mounting plate has a central axis, a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a first lateral side extending axially from the first end to the second end, and a second lateral side extending axially from the first end to the second end. The mounting plate includes a shoulder and a first receptacle to slidingly receive a first tab on an end of an arm coupled to a display. The shoulder extends laterally from the first lateral side to the second lateral side and the first receptacle extends axially into the shoulder.

Examples disclosed herein provide a computing device to charge a rechargeable device. An example computing device can include a module with an enclosure to accommodate the rechargeable device. The computing device can include a transmitter within the module to wirelessly charge the rechargeable device via a receiver disposed within the rechargeable device. The computing device can include a display surface to replicate content illustrated on a screen of the rechargeable device, when the rechargeable device is to be disposed within the enclosure.

Examples of an apparatus, method, and instructions included on a machine-readable non-transitory storage medium are disclosed herein. In an example of the method, a first state is provided to enable a camera to record an image, a second state is provided to disable the camera, and a third state is provided to permit the camera to be enabled and disabled. Also in this example of the method, a button is actuated in the third state to an on position to enable the camera to record an image or an off position to disable the camera. Additionally in this example of the method, a signal is generated via an input device in the on position of the button to enable the camera to record an image or disable the camera.

In one embodiment, a fastener includes an integrated isolation member composed of a resilient material, the isolation member being adapted to isolate a storage media drive to which the fastener is to be mounted from a drive cage in which the drive is to be installed, the isolation member being sized and configured to fit within a slot of the drive cage and to abut a surface of the drive cage.

The cover is moveable to provide access to electronic components housed in the central unit. The cover allows access to certain electronic components and prevents access to other electronic components.

A clip is disclosed which is capable of applying significant retention force via a rotatable cam arm while being easily removable due to the cam arm and a separate removal arm. A method of using the clip is also disclosed which uses the advantages of the clip, particularly in the context of computer design and construction.

A technique is provided for the insertion and removal of a motherboard and a heatsink from a computer chassis without the use of tools or threaded fasteners. The technique allows the heatsink to be supported by the chassis and not the motherboard thereby preventing damage to the motherboard.

A computer which includes modular structures incorporated therein provides enhanced serviceability. In a preferred embodiment, the computer has a chassis, a lid, a front bezel, an option card module, a system board module, a drive module, and a power supply module. The lid secures the option card module within the chassis. The option card module is removable from the chassis without disconnecting fasteners, option boards, or external cables therefrom. The system board module is received in the chassis and is secured therein by the option card module. The drive module has features which enable storage media devices to be conveniently installed therein and removed therefrom.
