In one example, a system for coupling a vehicle cable for communication with components of an infotainment system, comprises: a housing, a domain controller, and a first connector interface including all connections for the domain controller. In the event that a first domain controller is exchanged for a second domain controller, a collection of user preferences may be transferred between the first domain controller to the second domain controller.

Systems and methods for scalable cockpit controller with generic and reconfigurable car-interface

An electrical connector can be provided having a plurality of connector pins, and an electrically conductive connector housing with a bottom wall and a receiving opening for receiving a counter-connector. A plurality of pin receiving openings formed in the bottom wall accommodate a dielectric insert. At least one of the connector pins extends through the dielectric insert and is fastened by the dielectric insert within the respective pin receiving opening. A slide-in module can be provided with such an electrical connector, and a method for producing such an electrical connector may also be provided.

Electrical connector

A method that pivotably mounts a display screen includes a housing and a display holder. A bearing is disposed between the housing and the display holder. The bearing may include a bearing protrusion or curved projection extending from a sidewall of the s display holder. The bearing includes a race in communication with the housing and has a concave surface portion, and a clamping member having a convex portion. The convex portion of the clamping member may be juxtaposed with the concave surface portion of the race to form an annular channel between the clamping member and the race. The curved protrusion may be slidingly secured in the annular channel to pivotally mount the display holder relative to the housing. A bearing may support each side of the display holder.

System for mounting a display

A display module that includes a minimum of free space, and can pivot and remain stable at every pivot angle is presented. The display module generally includes a frame, a display unit, and a bearing. The bearing pivotably mounts the display unit to the frame and includes a first component that is provided with the display unit and a second component that is provided with the frame. One of the first and second components includes a channel, and the other of the first and second components includes at least one protrusion that moves in the channel. The protrusion may include or be arranged along a shape, such as a ring-segment shape. The channel may also include a shape, such as a ring-segment shape.
