An actuation device for an electromechanically actuatable vehicle brake, comprising an electric motor, at least one multistage transmission that has at least one intermediate transmission unit and at least one output transmission unit. The rotational axis of the output transmission unit extends through the at least one output shaft section and parallel to the rotational axis of the intermediate transmission unit and the rotational axis of the electric motor. One of the rotational axes of the electric motor, the intermediate transmission unit and the output transmission unit lies outside of a plane defined by two respective rotational axes of the rotational axes of the electric motor, the intermediate transmission unit and the output transmission unit.

A motor vehicle brake, in particular a combined hydraulically and electromechanically actuatable motor vehicle brake, with an actuator assembly comprising: a housing, an actuator which can be moved relative to the housing for hydraulically or electromechanically moving a brake lining, a motor drive, a movement mechanism which is arranged between the motor drive and the movable actuator, a gear arrangement which is paired with the movement mechanism, and a separate self-locking device which is designed to block the movement mechanism when necessary, wherein the movement mechanism has a ball screw drive with a rotatable spindle and a nut which can be moved in the housing in a linear manner. The nut can be moved within the housing in order to move the actuator by rotating the spindle, and the gear arrangement has at least two gear stages. In the motor vehicle brake, the self-locking device is arranged in or on the gear arrangement such that at least two gear stages are arranged between the ball screw drive and the self-locking device.

Electromechanically and hydraulically actuatable motor vehicle brake with selective self-locking

An actuating device is specified for an electromechanically actuatable vehicle brake. The device comprises a multi-stage transmission unit, which is arranged between a driving electric motor and a driven drive element of the vehicle brake, wherein at least one stage of the transmission unit is embodied as a spur-gear transmission, and at least two stages of the transmission unit are coupled by means of a double gearwheel, the rotational axis of which extends parallel to the rotational axis of the electric motor. The invention relates to a subassembly for a brake actuator, which is provided for an electromechanically operated parking brake. The subassembly comprises a drive device and a gearing device, which comprises in succession a first, second and third gear stage for transmitting a torque generated by the drive device. The first gear stage is designed in the form of a gearwheel or belt drive, the second gear stage is designed in the form of a gearwheel mechanism, and the third gear stage is designed in the form of a planetary gear, wherein a planet carrier of the third gear stage receives a first gearing shaft for a sun gear of the planetary gear and an output-side gearwheel of the second gear stage that is coupled to rotate with the sun gear, and bearing elements for planet gears of the third gear stage. The invention relates to an assembly for a brake actuator which is provided, for example, for an electromechanically operated parking brake. An electric brake actuator is described. The actuator comprises a housing, an electric motor, a device for torque transmission and an element for torque delivery. The device for torque transmission is a gear mechanism with a gear shaft which is parallel to the motor shaft, wherein the torque is transmitted from the electric motor to the gear mechanism by means of a belt drive. The distance between the motor shaft and the gear shaft is fixed by means of a rigid spacer, the opposite ends of which are located on different sides of the plane which is defined by a belt of the belt drive.

A process for operating the brake arrangement of a vehicle is presented, which comprises an electrically controllable service brake system, which is set to generate brake forces independently of driver actuation, and which comprises an electrically controllable parking brake system, which is set to generate brake forces and maintain these forces. So that the parking brake system or its electromechanical actuating unit only needs to cope with relatively small load situations, it is proposed that, when, for certain operating conditions, the parking brake system has to maintain brake forces which are greater than the brake forces it is able to generate itself, the service brake system generates the additionally required brake forces.

In a vehicle brake having a brake piston accommodated in a housing, a blocking device for securing the brake piston inside the housing and an actuating device for controlling the blocking device, it is provided that the brake piston together with the housing delimits a fluid chamber, which is chargeable with hydraulic fluid, so that the brake piston for actuating the vehicle brake is displaceable hydraulically inside the housing along a piston longitudinal axis, that moreover the blocking device comprises a ramp arrangement and a blocking element that is displaceable relative to the housing, and that by means of the actuating device the blocking element in interaction with the ramp arrangement for securing the brake piston inside the housing is displaceable and connectable to the brake piston. Hydraulically actuable vehicle brake

The present invention provides driveaway assistance for a motor vehicle having braking equipment which, in the standstill condition of the motor vehicle, automatically or under the control of a vehicle driver summons up braking forces needed for the standstill condition. To assist start-up (driveaway) of the motor vehicle through a reduction of the braking forces generated in the standstill condition, a driveaway request or a vehicle driver is determined when defined conditions, which are to be met for driveaway of the motor vehicle, exist in the standstill condition. Once a driveaway request has been recognized, the operating state of the motor vehicle is checked until an operating condition required for driveaway exists. Once such an operating condition is reached, the braking equipment of the motor vehicle is controlled in such a way that its braking forces generated in the standstill condition are reduced to allow driveaway of the vehicle.

Method and system for assisting the driveaway of a motor vehicle

A method for controlling an electrically actuable parking brake is described. In this method the cutoff current of the electric motor is varied to compensate for example for changes in the application force associated with aging or wear or for changes in the application force due to changes in the resistance and/or temperature of an electric motor.

An electrically driven vehicle brake comprises a brake piston, which acts on at least one friction lining and can be displaced out of an initial position into an actuation position, in which the brake piston abuts the friction lining against a rotating member of the vehicle brake which is to be connected, fixed against rotation, to a wheel of the motor vehicle, and a transmission unit, driven by an electric motor and acting on the brake piston to actuate the brake piston, wherein the electric motor is to be triggered by an electronic control unit, which is also set up to detect performance parameters of the vehicle, the electric motor and/or the vehicle brake. The electronic control unit is set up and programmed to trigger the electric motor by means of a control and evaluation program running in it in such a way that the brake piston is displaced in response to the detecting of at least one predetermined operating condition in a first direction into its actuation position, in which the at least one friction lining abuts against the rotating member, and the brake piston is then displaced by a path corresponding to a predetermined, desired brake release play in a second direction opposite the first direction, into its initial position. If the vehicle brake additionally comprises a device for fixing the initial position of the brake piston, which fixes the initial position of the brake piston in such a way that a predetermined, desired brake release play is kept constant during the operating life of the brake, the electronic control unit is set up and programmed to trigger the electric motor by means of a control and evaluation program running in it in such a way that an element of the transmission unit acting on the brake piston on electrical actuation of the brake is displaced in response to the detecting of at least one predetermined operating condition in a first direction into its actuation position, in which the brake piston actuated by the element abuts the at least one friction lining against the rotating member. The element is then displaced by a path corresponding to a sum made up of the predetermined, desired brake release play and a predetermined, desired distance between the element and the brake piston when the brake is not actuated in a second direction opposite the first direction into its initial position.
