A collapsible cooking device includes a central hub with a support surface positioned on one face of the central hub. A plurality of arm members are connected to the central hub. A plurality of leg members are further rotatably connected to the arm members and configured to nest within each of plurality of arm members. The entire device can fold in order to form a compact shape for travel and storage.

User-friendly welding helmet assembly configurations to be worn on the head of a weldor are disclosed. The welding helmet assembly configurations include various advanced features including a spatter shield that is easily replaceable from an external front portion of a shell of the helmet assembly configuration, and an adjustable ratchet headgear within the shell having a repositionable lever adapted to easily adjust a detent position of the ratchet headgear with respect to the shell. Other user-friendly features are also provided, in accordance with various embodiments of the present invention.

An intravenous (IV) fluid monitoring system and method are provided to facilitate notification that a replacement IV fluid bag should be prepared. In this regard, an IV fluid monitoring system includes a bag sensing element carried by an IV fluid bag. The IV fluid monitoring system further includes first and second sensing elements positioned on opposite sides of the IV fluid bag and configured to interact with the bag sensing element. The first and second sensing elements are physically separate from the IV fluid bag. The bag sensing element and the first and second elements are positioned such that a line of sight between at least the first sensing element and the bag sensing element extends through the IV fluid within the IV fluid bag while the IV fluid bag is in a filled state. A method and apparatus are also provided to facilitate preparation of an IV fluid bag.

Provided herein are various apparatuses, systems, and methods for improving the efficiency of medication distribution within a healthcare facility. In particular, embodiments may provide for storing and dispensing medications to an authorized medical person for administration to a patient in a healthcare facility. A storage and dispensing system may include a housing defining a cavity, a door movable between an open and a closed position to provide access to the cavity, two or more receivers disposed within the cavity, a lock to lock the door in the closed position, and a user interface configured to receive a request for medications stored within the cavity. The medications may be configured to be presented to a user in response to a request for the medications, while unrequested medications remain inaccessible.

An attachable arrangement, including a plurality of straps removably attachable to a body of a user. The plurality of straps includes: at least one strap removably attachable around a first leg of the user; and at least one strap removably attachable around a second leg of the user. When attached, the at least one strap extends around the leg of the user in a direction of equal to or less than about 30&#xb0; from a substantially horizontal line perpendicular to a substantially vertical axis extending down the leg of the user. A food slicer includes a frame for supporting a landing and a runway movable relative to the landing. A cutting blade is secured on an upstream end of the landing. A downstream end of the runway is spaced from an edge of the cutting blade. A separate cutting knife is moveably connected to the frame. An adjustment mechanism connected to the frame adjusts an offset between the cutting blade and the runway. The adjustment mechanism includes spaced apart first and second guide tracks provided on respective first and second movable side members. The guide tracks are configured such that a first movement of the adjustment mechanism moves the downstream end of the runway relative to the cutting blade to adjust a cutting thickness and a second movement of the adjustment mechanism lowers the downstream end of the runway and raises the cutting knife to a working position.

A headband for use in a headgear support includes a first end section having a plurality of spaced connectors and a second end section including a fastener attached adjacent the end thereof. The fastener includes a connecting member to which at least one cooperating connector is attached. The connecting member biases the cooperating connector in an engagement position with at least one of the plurality of connectors of the first end section to hold the headband in a selected loop configuration. The fastener further includes at least a first flexible release member. Upon application of a force to the first release member, the first flexible release member is movable to a release position (or range of positions) in which the first release member abuts the connecting member to cause the connecting member to flex to a disengage position (or range of positions) in which the cooperating connector is disengaged from the at least one the plurality of connectors of the first end section to enable increasing the size of the loop of the headband.

A headband for use in a headgear support includes a first end section having a plurality of connectors extending latitudinally from a lateral surface of the first end section. The headband also includes a second end section having a fastener attached adjacent the end thereof. The fastener includes a flexible lever arm and a cooperating connector biased in an engagement position with at least one of the plurality of connectors of the first end section to hold the headband in a selected loop configuration. The flexible lever arm is movable to a release position upon application of force thereto to cause the cooperating connector to disengage from the at least one the plurality of connectors of the first end section to enable increasing the size of the loop of the headband. The plurality of connectors of the first end section can, for example, be ratchet teeth.
