Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed that reduce seismic noise. In one embodiment, a method of processing seismic data includes accessing seismic data representative of a plurality of seismic input traces acquired by one or more seismic sensors. The method also includes stacking the plurality of seismic input traces into a stacked trace. The method also includes generating, utilizing at least one processor unit, a function of similarity between at least two of the plurality of seismic input traces. The method also includes scaling at least one of the seismic input traces or the stacked trace with the function of similarity.

Method and apparatus for seismic noise reduction

Microseismic mapping using buried arrays with the integration of passive and active seismic surveys provides enhanced microseismic mapping results. The system is initially set up by recording seismic data with the buried array installation while shooting a significant portion of the 3D surface seismic survey. The 3D surface seismic survey provides the following data: shallow 3D VSP data from the buried arrays; P-wave and converted wave data for the area covered by the buried array that benefits from the planned data integration processing effort; and microseismic data and associated analysis.

Integrated passive and active seismic surveying using multiple arrays

A method, apparatus and system for acquiring seismic data is disclosed that in one aspect receives a seismic signal detected by at least one sensor in response to a seismic energy signal generated by a source at a selected location at a data acquisition unit in data that is in data communication with the sensor, receives at least one parameter of the source and/or receiver at the data acquisition unit; and generates a data block at the data acquisition unit having data representative of the received seismic signal and a header that contains data representative of the at least one parameter of the source and/or receiver. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.
