A workbench system is disclosed which may include a work surface with a first dog hole, a second dog hole spaced apart from the first dog hole and a plurality of dogs, each of the plurality of dogs including a body defining a first and second securing portion, and a stem portion extending away from the body and configured to fit into the first and second dog holes such that the first securing portions of the first and the second of the plurality of dogs are spaced apart with respect to an axis extending along the first work surface portion at a distance corresponding to a first commonly sized work piece width and the second securing portions of the first and the second of the plurality of dogs are spaced apart with respect to the axis at a distance corresponding to a second commonly sized work piece width.

A laminate flooring saw system which can be used for both rip cuts and miter cuts in one embodiment includes a fence, a base including a first locking member configured to cooperate with the fence to lock the fence along a first fence axis, a second locking member configured to cooperate with the fence to lock the fence along a second fence axis, the second fence axis perpendicular to the first fence axis and a support arm positioned above the base for supporting a power tool.

Saw assembly base

A circular saw has a housing enclosing a motor for driving an output shaft about an axis of rotation. An upper bladeguard is immovably secured to the housing and has a rear wall defining an arcuate slot. A rectangular base plate is pivotally attached at its forward portion to the saw housing for swinging movement about a pivot axis parallel with the output shaft and disposed substantially forwardly thereof. An arcuate bracket arm has one end thereof connected to the rear of the base plate. A fastening element is mounted on the other end of the bracket arm and is received within the slot in the upper bladeguard. The operator may adjust the base plate by grasping the fastening element and moving the same along the slot in the upper bladeguard.

A portable circular saw with a 60.degree. bevel cut capability that is provided by a combination of blade diameter, height of front and rear pivot points above the footplate, the ability to tip the saw about a front hinge point to avoid projections contacting the footplate at a 60.degree. angle and recesses and orifices provided in the footplate at points where interference would normally occur between the motor housing assembly and the saw blade when the blade is at a 60.degree. bevel angle so as to prevent any interference of the footplate with the motor housing assembly and saw blade. A positive stop is provided at angles of 45.degree. and 60.degree..
