An electrical box includes an open end providing access to a hollow interior of the electrical box, that is enclosed by a closed end and opposing sidewalls. The electrical box has an angled flange that is integrally molded to create a singular construct formulated from a polymer material. The angled flange is angled along the longitudinal axis relative to the upstanding sides of the electrical box and flattens completely when placed into a final installed position within an aperture within a structure to create a vapor seal between the electrical box and the structure. Also, the polymer material the flange is created from accommodates any small inconsistencies in dimensions, alignment and the like, so as to allow for fast and efficient installation.

An electrical box includes a front surface having an opening providing access to a hollow interior of the electrical box, at least one sidewall extending rearwardly from the front surface to form the hollow interior, and a seal disposed on an exterior surface of the at least one sidewall. The seal has a triangular cross-sectional shape including a thin end configured to first enter an opening of a building structure receiving the electrical box therein. A tapered surface of the seal is compressed as the electrical box is received into the opening in the building structure to provide a seal around an exterior surface of the at least one sidewall of the electrical box.

A hole seal is disclosed including a cover having a body with an inner surface and an outer surface and an end portion attached to a first end of the body. The inner surface of the body includes a threaded portion, and the outer surface of the body includes an annular array of ribs disposed thereon. Each of the ribs has a predefined collapsible direction. The end portion includes a seal disposed on a peripheral edge of the end portion. The hole seal further includes a cap having an inner member and an outer portion. The inner member includes a threaded portion that is configured to cooperate with the threaded portion of the inner surface of the body.

An electrical box assembly is disclosed including an electrical box having at least one sidewall, the sidewall including an aperture formed therein to receive a threaded fastener. A mounting plate is provided that is attached to a support member and includes an elongate slot formed therein, wherein at least a portion of the slot is aligned with the aperture of the sidewall. A clamp bar abuts the mounting plate and has a threaded aperture formed therein, wherein the fastener extends through the aperture formed in the sidewall and the elongate slot formed in the mounting plate and is threadably received in the aperture formed in the clamp bar to movably attach the electrical box to the mounting plate.

A modular furniture component such as an electrified relatively thin panel has electrical wiring in a raceway near a downwardly depending adjustable leveler leg and a pluggable multiconductor cable for connecting the raceway electrical wiring with another modular furniture component. The components may each comprise a relatively thin upstanding generally rectangular modular office wall panel having an electrical wiring containing raceway near a bottom edge. Adjacent panels have the raceways generally horizontally aligned with one another. In one form, apparatus and method is disclosed for routing the power and data cables/conductors out of the bottom of the panels next to threaded leveler legs and back up into the adjacent panel. The cable is located closely adjacent a thinnest portion of the adjustable leveler leg and has a portion thereof displaced vertically below each raceway. The cables are enclosed in a removable device that clamshells around the legs with the clamshell located beneath a lowermost portion of the raceway for enclosing portions of the leveler leg and cable. The clamshell cable housings can be in a variety of shapes to accommodate any combination of panel intersections with straight, parallel, 90&#xb0;, 'T', cross or four-way, and 120&#xb0; described. In another form, the panel support posts are modified to present a thin portion of leveler legs about which the cables may be routed in horizontal alignment with the raceways.

A modular wall panel system including at least one wall panel having a raceway with at least one receptacle opening therein and at least one receptacle assembly. The at least one receptacle assembly includes a retaining device that retains the receptacle to the raceway and a restraining feature that restrains the receptacle assembly from completely entering the opening.

A modular furniture power distribution system includes at least two multiconductor electrical cables, at least two upstanding partition panels, a stanchion for supporting juxtaposed partition panel ends, and a collar. Each of the at least two multiconductor electrical cables have an electrical connector at a first end thereof. Each of the at least two upstanding partition panels have an elongated generally horizontally extending channel for receiving a corresponding electrical cable. The stanchion forms an obstacle precluding direct communication between adjacent partition channels and providing inadequate clearance to accommodate electrical coupling between the electrical connectors. The collar at least partially encircles the stanchion and forms an electrical coupling for circumventing the obstacle and electrically coupling the connector of the cable in one channel with a corresponding connector of the cable in the other channel. The collar includes a pair of electrical connectors at opposite ends of the collar, each of the electrical connectors being adapted to mate with a corresponding cable connector, the mating cable connector and collar electrical connector pairs engaging and disengaging by relative motion in the direction of channel elongation.

Method of branching power around an obstacle

An electrical interconnection system for linear lighting including a first electrical harness having a first electrical connector with a first plurality of terminals, and a first plurality of electrical conductors electrically connected to respective first terminals. A second electrical harness includes a second electrical connector with a second plurality of terminals, and a second plurality of electrical conductors electrically connected to respective second terminals. The second plurality of terminals are similar in shape to the first plurality of terminals. The first and second electrical harnesses are configured for connection to a first and second linear light, respectively. An electrical coupler is electrically connected to both the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector and includes a first port and a second port which each have a plurality of coupler terminals complimentary in shape with the first plurality of terminals and the second plurality of terminals.

The light fixture includes a housing with a first side and a second side opposed to and approximately parallel with the first side. The first side has a first spring latch at one end of the first side and the second side has a second spring latch at one end of the second side. A light source is carried by the housing.

Method and apparatus for mounting a task light

A modular furniture power distribution system has a plurality of multiconductor electrical cables (), each having an electrical connector () at a first and second ends. There are at least two upstanding partition panels (), each having an elongated generally horizontally extending channel or raceway () for receiving a corresponding electrical cable, and a stanchion or leg () for supporting juxtaposed partition panel ends. The support stanchion forms an obstacle precluding direct communication between adjacent partition channels because it provides inadequate clearance to accommodate an electrical coupling between the electrical connector in one channel and the corresponding electrical connector in the other panel. A collar () at least partially encircles the leg or other support structure and forms an electrical coupling for circumventing the obstacle and electrically coupling a connector of the cable in one channel with a corresponding connector of the cable in the other channel. A pair of electrical connectors () at opposite ends of the collar are adapted to mate with corresponding cable connectors () and the mating cable connector and collar connector pairs engage and disengage by relative motion in the direction () of channel elongation.

A lighting system includes a suspended light fixture, a skin, and a plurality of alignment sights. The suspended light fixture includes a supporting spine. The skin partially surrounds the spine. The skin is supported by the spine at at least three points including an adjustable point. The skin is substantially more flexible than the spine. The spine has a plurality of suspension points that define a longitudinal axis. The plurality of alignment sights are connected to the skin along an axis defining a leveling axis. The leveling axis is substantially parallel to and offset from the longitudinal axis.
