Provided are showerheads with aeration that include a showerhead body comprising a front showerhead face comprising a plurality of nozzles and a rear showerhead face opposite the front showerhead face, a air/water mixing chamber located in an interior space of the showerhead body, a ventilation disk comprising a plurality of openings positioned between the front showerhead face and the rear showerhead face, and an actuating mechanism on the rear showerhead face. The actuating mechanism is configured to, when actuated, expose the plurality of openings of the ventilation disk to draw air through the plurality of openings and into the air/water mixing chamber to mix the air with water to form aerated water, and the plurality of nozzles in the front showerhead face are configured to receive the aerated water from the air/water mixing chamber and dispense the aerated water.

Described are embodiments of a shower assembly that includes modular components that can be removably attached and may be replaced or interchanged with corresponding components having different form factor or design. In some embodiments, the shower assembly includes a diverter unit fluidly coupled to a fluid source and the diverter unit is configured to selectively direct flow of fluid from the fluid source to one or both of a shower head and a hand shower. The shower head includes a first plurality of nozzles configured to dispense fluid and the shower head is configured to be removably fluidly coupled to the diverter unit. The hand shower includes a second plurality of nozzles configured to dispense fluid and fluidly coupled by a hose to the diverter unit and the hand shower is configured to be removably attachable to the diverter unit by a connector.

A user interface () for controlling a shower system () includes at least one control () configured to be actuated by a user and generate one or more signals for controlling an operation of the shower system (), and at least one indicator light () configured to illuminate in different patterns which are matched to different operational stages of the shower system (). The at least one indicator light () may be configured to provide a first light pattern when the shower system () is in a first operational stage, and a second light pattern that is different from the first light pattern when the shower system () is in a second operational stage. The first operational stage may include when water in the shower system () is being warmed to a predetermined temperature, and the second operational stage may include when a temperature of the water has reached the predetermined temperature.
