Disclosed herein is a multi-electrode catheter system including an amplifier stage and an amplifier interface. The amplifier stage includes at least a first quantity of amplifier channels. The amplifier interface includes a first interface having at least the first quantity of interface channels. The amplifier channels are respectively electrically coupled to the interface channels The amplifier interface includes a second interface having a second quantity of catheter channels, the second quantity being greater than the first quantity. The catheter channels are configured to be respectively electrically coupled to corresponding electrode leads of a multi-electrode catheter. The amplifier interface includes a switching matrix electrically coupled between the first interface and the second interface. The switching matrix is configured to selectively electrically couple a selected subset of catheter channels to respective interface channels of the first quantity of interface channels.

A method of navigating a catheter to a target location in an anatomical structure of a patient includes inserting a portion of a catheter into the patient. The catheter includes an elongate shaft having a proximal and a distal end, and a loop subassembly coupled to the distal end. The loop subassembly includes a loop coupled to the distal end and positioned parallel to the elongate shaft, and electrodes disposed on the loop. The method includes positioning one of a portion of the loop subassembly and a portion of the distal end of the elongate shaft in contact with a surface of the anatomical structure a distance from the target location, and translating the loop subassembly toward the target location with the one of the portion of the loop subassembly and the portion of the distal end of the elongate shaft in contact with the surface of the anatomical structure.

Medical catheters, systems including medical catheters, and methods of positioning medical catheters

The present disclosure provides electroporation catheters that are capable of forming a loop, generally a circular loop, an oval loop, or like in shape, located on the distal end portion of a catheter shaft within the vasculature of an individual. The electroporation catheters of the present disclosure may be delivered into the vasculature of the individual in a straight conformation and allow for the formation of the loop once positioned in the desired location. Some embodiments of the present disclosure include an electroporation catheter that includes a loop member pull wire in a spiral or helical configuration on an inside surface of the distal end portion of the catheter shaft.

Medical devices and related methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of manufacturing a medical device or a medical device component includes contacting a non-fluid first member and a second member, the first member comprising a first polymer and an alignable material different from the first polymer; aligning the alignable material; and bonding the first and second members together.

A method of forming a medical device or components thereof, including the steps of providing a first component of said medical device which is formed a first material and providing a second polymeric material into a mold cavity to overmold a second component of the medical device over the first component, and wherein the second polymeric material is further injected with a blowing agent to form a foam, and to components and to the medical devices made therefrom.
