A vibration-assisted bias charge roll cleaning system includes a bias charge roll cleaning member connected to an actuator for causing the cleaning member to vibrate. The actuator is controlled to vibrate according to a predetermined pattern, and at desired frequencies at particular modes. The cleaning member is configured to be movable to a contact-cleaning position and a cleaning member cleaning position at which the cleaning member is separate from the charge roll.

Systems and methods for cleaning bias charge roll surface in printing systems

A bias charge roller includes an electrically conductive core. An outer layer is axially supported on the core. The outer layer is either conductive or semi-conductive. The bias charge roller further includes a continuous raised pattern on the outer surface of the outer layer. The continuous raised pattern is configured to contact a charge-retentive surface of an electrophotographic imaging member so as to charge the charge-retentive surface. The bias charge roller can be employed in an image forming apparatus.

A imaging member, such as a photoreceptor, comprising a structured organic film comprising a plurality of segments and a plurality of linkers arranged as a covalent organic framework, wherein the structured organic film may comprise at least one secondary component, such as an antioxidant.

Robust photoreceptor surface layer

A layer on the reverse side of an imaging member provides excellent crack resistance to the imaging layer(s) on the front side. The crack-deterring backing layer can be a laminated self-adhesive, such as tape, or a coating. Because the crack-deterring backing layer is on the reverse side, it does not affect the electrical properties of the imaging member. Overcoat layers may be used whose function is limited to improved scratch resistance.

Imaging member

A polymer having hole transport functionality and antioxidant properties is disclosed. The polymer comprises a phenolic segment and a hole transport segment. The polymer is suitable for use in the charge transport layer of an imaging member. Processes for producing the polymer are also disclosed.
