A system for injecting a fluid into a formation including a fluid, and at least one injection pump configured to receive the fluid, the at least one pump including a centrifugal pump having at least two stages configured to increase the pressure of the received fluid is disclosed. The system further includes a drive device coupled to the injection pump. A method of injecting a fluid downhole including providing a fluid to an injection pump, the injection pump including a centrifugal pump having at least two stages, pumping the fluid through the at least two stages of the centrifugal pump, thereby increasing the pressure of the fluid, and injecting the fluid from the injection pump into a wellbore is also disclosed.

Method and system for injection of viscous unweighted, low-weighted, or solids contaminated fluids downhole during oilfield injection process

A system for processing returned drilling fluid including a flow line configured to provide a return flow of drilling fluids and at least one vibratory separator having at least one screen, wherein the vibratory separator is fluidly connected to the flow low and is configured to receive at least a partial flow of fluids and separate the flow of fluids into a primarily fluid phase and a primarily solids phase. The system further includes a dual-trough configured to receive the primarily solid phase from the at least one vibratory separator and a slurry tank configured to receive the solids phase from the trough. Additionally, a method of processing a return drilling fluid including dividing the return drilling fluid into a primarily fluids phase and a primarily solids phase with a primary separatory operation. Furthermore, directing the primarily solids phase to a dual-trough having a first trough configured to receive a relatively large solids phase, and a second trough configured to receive a relatively fine solids phase. The method also including transmitting the relatively fine solids phase to a slurry tanks and processing the relatively fine solids phase in a secondary separatory operation.

Return drilling fluid processing

A system for separating hydrocarbons from water, the system including an inlet for receiving a fluid, the fluid including a water phase and a hydrocarbon phase, and a separation tank having a first partition and a second partition, wherein the first partition is configured to receive the fluid from the inlet. Furthermore, the system includes a first outlet configured to receive the water phase from the first partition, a second outlet configured to receive the hydrocarbon phase from the second partition, and a support structure configured to receive the water phase from the first outlet and the hydrocarbon phase from the second outlet. Also, a method of separating a fluid into a water phase and a hydrocarbon phase, the method including injecting the fluid containing the water phase and the hydrocarbon phase into a separation tank. The method further includes separating the water phase from the hydrocarbon phase, wherein the separating includes transmitting the fluid through a plurality of baffles, collecting the water phase, and collecting the hydrocarbon phase.
