An electronic toy which enunciates words or phrases corresponding to sentence parts and a complete sentence by enunciating sounds corresponding to words of phrases selected from a plurality of addresses of a first memory representing audio data corresponding to such words or phrases arranged in each of a plurality of categories. The selected words or phrases correspond to different parts of speech, such as subjects, verbs, adjectives, direct objects and prepositional phrases. The selections are assembled in the second memory and enunciated. The toy may resemble a book in appearance and has printed lettering and color graphics corresponding to the words or phrases.

Electronic toy for forming sentences

A hobby horse includes a neck and head portion secured to the user's waist by a belt attachment. A rein switch is supported within the head interior and is coupled to each end of a closed rein set and is responsive to pulling action upon the reins. A motion sensing switch is supported within the head portion of the hobby horse and responds to motion and changes of motion of the child user and hobby horse. A pair of pressure sensitive switches are disposed proximate the forehead and mouth portions of the hobby horse and respond to simulated feeding and petting actions on the part of the user. A sound producing circuit includes a battery power system, a speaker and a sound sensitizing circuit operatively coupled to the range switch, the motion switch, the forehead switch, and the mouth switch to provide a plurality of sound outputs responsive to play activities sensed by the switches. The rein sensing switch is resistant to overstressing by the child user in pulling upon the reins.

Waist attaching hobby horse

Computer toy to demonstrate logical relationships, e.g. to a child, having a personal computer-like housing, a display system displaying a plurality of first and second type symbols, each first type symbol being logically related to one among the second type symbols to form a related pair, a plurality of housing positions corresponding to the symbols and each adjacent a respective symbol, an input system to select a particular housing position and indicate its selection and its adjacent symbol as one of a pair to be formed by such selecting, a circuit detecting whether a first and a second type symbol have been properly paired to form a related pair upon selecting by the input system a housing position adjacent a first type symbol and a housing position adjacent a second type symbol, and an output system issuing one signal if a related pair has been formed and a different signal if not so formed, and particularly such that where the circuit detects that all the related pairs have been successfully formed from among the symbols, the output system issues a still different third signal. The toy has an indicator indicating a program mode correlating the circuit and display system for forming the related pairs, and a control to program the circuit to that mode.

Computer toy

Vibration triggered game device having a housing with a vibration sensitive reference base to generate vibrations in response to a manually applied vibratory stimulus during game play, and a circuit to sense the level of those vibrations relative to a preselective, e.g. adjustable, threshold value, and including an indicator, e.g. an audible signal emitter, triggered when that level exceeds the threshold value, to indicate the achieving of an event in the game. The circuit may include a piezo transducer to detect the vibrations and to emit the signal. The housing may be a game board provided with play elements depositable on, movable along, and/or removable from, the reference base, or the housing may be an object graspable during play, with all such manual actions being effectable at a vibration level above or below the threshold value depending upon player skill and dexterity.

Balancing board device formed of a roller, a treadle board normally resting on the roller and a connector releasably interconnecting the board and roller, the connector including a first part on the board and a second part on the roller, the parts being substantially rigid and inflexible and normally arranged in coactive connection at a location completely within the roller outline for maintaining the roller substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the board and permitting limited relative longitudinal movement between the board and roller and rocking movement of the board on the roller while preventing separation of the roller from the board, and a release mechanism permitting disconnection of the parts for separation of the roller from the board.
