A mud flap holder assembly includes a mud flap support clip bifurcated at one of the ends thereof to define an open ended variable width slot. The mud flap is held in position by a bolt positioned in the slot with portions of the support clip defining the slot forming a detent frictionally releasably engaging the flap.

Mud flap holder system

A mud flap assembly includes a vehicle attachment bracket and an elongated support member of integral construction from which a mud flap depends extending outwardly from the attachment bracket. The elongated support member is inflexible in up and down directions and flexible in forward and rearward directions. The support member is positioned in a channel formed in the mud flap.

Mud flap hanger system

A mud flap assembly includes a hanger for attachment to a truck or other vehicle, the hanger including a horizontally disposed hanger portion. Connectors connect the mud flap to the hanger portion so that some of the flap projects above the hanger portion and some of the flap projects below the hanger portion. A conspicuity strip is attached to the flap and to the connector to add to the structural integrity of the assembly.

Mud flap assembly

A mud flap hanger incorporates a tension spring within a mud flap support member of the hanger which can be tensioned from a location external of the support member. The apparatus includes a connector projecting from the support member threadedly connected to a tensioner nut which is rotated to tension the spring. A stop on the connector engages an end of the support member to limit the tension that can be applied to the tension spring.
