The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for enabling an activity using a computer system. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for invoking an activity associated with an application are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for customizing displayed content based on circumstances under which the content was invoked are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for managing applications that were used to enable activities are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for managing settings for applications used to enable activities are described.

User interfaces for enabling an activity

A device implementing a system for initiating a business messaging session includes at least one processors configured to receive a selection of a telephone number on a device. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit an encoded identifier corresponding to the telephone number to a server. The at least one processor is further configured to determine whether the telephone number is registered for a business messaging system based at least in part on a response received from the server. The at least one processor is further configured to provide a first display element for initiating communication with the telephone number via the business messaging system when the telephone number is registered for the business messaging system, otherwise providing a second display element for initiating communication with the telephone number via a user messaging system.

Initiating a business messaging session

The subject technology provides a portion of the functionality of an application on an electronic device on which the application is not installed. The portion of the functionality of the application is provided by a clip of the application that can be obtained, installed, and launched on the user device, at the time the functionality is desired by a user, and without authenticating information for the user. The clip of the application can provide the user with access to a purchase function, an ordering function, or any other sub-function of the application. When the application itself is installed on the device, the clip of the application can be deleted while preserving access, by the application, to data generated on the device by the clip.

Registered applications for electronic devices

A messaging system, in one embodiment, can establish messaging accounts for a plurality of organizations (e.g., businesses) to allow customers or users of the organizations to conduct two-way messaging sessions between a customer and an organization. The messaging system can use a registration portal to allow an organization to set up a business/organization messaging account by providing account information. The account information can then be used to update one or more searchable databases that allow a customer to have multiple entry points into a messaging session with each of the registered businesses in the messaging system. For example, a search through a web browser or a map application can provide search results that contain or otherwise provide access to a selectable messaging option that is presented on a customer's device.

Messaging system for organizations

A messaging system, in one embodiment, can establish messaging accounts for a plurality of organizations (e.g. businesses) to allow customers or users of the organizations to conduct two-way messaging sessions between a customer and an organization. The present disclosure relates to a system and method for providing a content distribution network. In an embodiment, the system and method helps organizations share content as a content source, and manage multiple feeds of content from various other content sources, keeping specific information private while integrating shared updates. For example, the content may be local business information kept by numerous different organizations for their own locality. By sharing this location information through a shared content distribution network, the organizations are able to update the location information of their users and obtain a higher quality of data. In an embodiment, an organization may prioritize the content in a private feed in order to override crowd sourced external data.

System and method for providing a content distribution network

A method and system of verifying data stored in a database, by polling one or more computing devices. A server generates a poll object for a data item and a poll notification is transmitted to the one or more computing devices, whereupon users of the computing devices may respond to the poll notification and transmit responses. A set of response notifications is received and the server determines if the set of response notifications satisfies a quorum criterion. If the quorum criterion is satisfied, the server determines a data verification result, based on a tally criterion.

Method and system for distributed data verification

The present disclosure relates to a system and method for providing a content distribution network. In an embodiment, the system and method helps organizations share content as a content source, and manage multiple feeds of content from various other content sources, keeping specific information private while integrating shared updates.
