A knee pad assembly to protect the knee of a workman who kneels down while working on a work surface. The knee pad assembly includes a flexible upper knee cushion at which to receive and cover the workman's knee and a rigid lower base that lies on the work surface below the upper knee cushion. The lower base has a continuously curved bottom to rock back and forth on the work surface when the workman shifts his weight while kneeling. The upper knee cushion and the lower base are held one above the other against the knee of the workman by a knee pad strap that is wrapped around the workman's leg. A pair of springs (e.g., flexible carbon fiber sheets having a spring memory) extend across the lower base below the upper knee cushion so as to suspend the workman's knee above the work surface and flex in response to the workman's knee pushing down on the knee cushion.

An adjustable leg support for providing support to and stabilizing a leg of a table, chair or similar article that is shorter than the other legs to prevent the article from wobbling. The adjustable leg support includes a screw-threaded rotatable base that is detachably coupled in surrounding engagement to a correspondingly threaded platform. The platform has a flat shelf that is laid upon the floor below the short leg to be supported. A rotational force is applied to the rotatable base which causes an axial displacement of the platform upwardly through the base towards the short leg. Rotation of the base continues until the flat shelf of the platform is raised and the short leg is seated on the shelf by which to eliminate the gap between the short leg and the floor. The rotatable base and the platform are mated to one another along opposing sets of screw threads that lie outside and surround the short leg to be stabilized.

Adjustable leg support

A rotatable scrub brush having particular application for removing dried residue from a bucket or similar container. The scrub brush includes a shaft, one end of which can be coupled to a conventional drill. The opposite end of the shaft is connected to a hollow bulb having cleaning bristles projecting outwardly therefrom. Openings through the bottom of the hollow bulb communicate with respective water inlet ducts. When the bulb is dipped in water standing in the bucket to be cleaned, the water will flow upwardly through the inlet ducts to be collected inside the bulb. A rotational force generated by the drill is imparted to the bulb by way of the shaft to cause the bulb to spin at high speed. As the spinning bulb is lifted out of the standing water and moved along the sides of the bucket, the water collected at the interior of the bulb will be expelled therefrom through outlet ports in order to moisten the cleaning bristles and the residue on the bucket to be removed by the bristles.

An improved rotatable wedge spacer to be removably positioned in a gap between opposing upper and lower surfaces (e.g., tiles) that are being bonded (e.g., by means of mortar) one above or adjacent the other to a flat surface (e.g., a wall or a floor). The spacer includes a curved (e.g., circular) body having a thin tip at one end and a thick tail at the opposite end. The height of the circular body between an upward sloping top surface thereof and a flat bottom surface increases from the thin tip to the thick tail. A series of flat load-supporting plateaus having predetermined increasing heights are regularly spaced from one another along the top surface so as to lie parallel with the flat bottom surface. With the flat bottom surface of the wedge spacer seated upon the lower tile, the curved body is rotated within the gap until one of the flat load-supporting plateaus along the top surface engages the upper tile. Accordingly, the curved body of the rotatable wedge spacer will fit flush and maintain the gap between the tiles as the mortar cures.

A rotatable wedge tile spacer to be removably positioned in a gap between adjacent upper and lower tiles that are being bonded one above the other to a vertical surface (i.e., a wall). The tile spacer includes a curved (i.e., circular) body having a thin tip at one end and a thick tail at the opposite end. The height of the circular body increases along a tile-supporting top surface thereof that runs from the thin tip to the thick tail. With the tile spacer seated upon the lower tile, the circular body is rotated continuously around its longitudinal axis until the tile-supporting top surface engages the upper tile. Accordingly, the circular body of the rotatable wedge tile spacer will fill the gap and thereby prevent the upper tile from moving through the gap towards the lower tile during the bonding process.

A flexible knee pad of the kind to be worn over the knee of a workman who must kneel down for long periods of time while working on a work surface. According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible knee pad includes an upper knee support cushion against which the workman's knee is laid, a lower pivot support base to rest upon the work surface, and an intermediate pivoting reinforcement plate having a flat bed upon which the knee support cushion is seated. The intermediate pivoting reinforcement plate includes a pair of pivots that are coupled to respective pivot slots formed in the lower pivot support base. Accordingly, the pivoting reinforcement plate, the knee support cushion seated thereon, and the workman's knee are all suspended by and rotatable relative to the pivot support base above the work surface so as to advantageously reduce pressure applied to the workman's knee cap by the work surface should he rock his body and shift his weight back and forth over the work surface.

A multi-function hand-operated tool that is compact in size and of light weight so as to be carried and used to perform a variety of different jobs by carpenters, painters, do-it-yourselfers, and the like. The tool includes a nail set to transmit a driving force to the head of a nail to cause the nail to be countersunk in a work surface. An open mouth which is sized to receive the cap on a bottle cooperates with a lip that applies a rotational force to remove the cap from the bottle. A nail extractor having a cavity in which to surround and capture the head of a nail transmits a pulling force to the nail head to cause the nail to be removed from a work surface. A channel having a flush-mounted magnet carries a nail to be positioned in upstanding alignment against a work surface so that the nail can be driven therein. A pair of spaced, outwardly projecting teeth are located between a lid and a can to pry the lid off the can. A chalk line is tied to the tool, and the teeth can be either staked in a work surface or located over and against an edge of the work surface so that a chalk mark can be made along the work surface. The teeth are spaced from one another so as to engage and lift a hinge pin from a hinge to which the pin is coupled.

A hinge pin remover tool comprising a housing block, an internal gear train for providing a high mechanical force advantage in a direction vertical and parallel with the housing block, front grooved face surface, to activate a vertical and horizontal movable pry head mechanism having a disc-beveled pry wedge, the jaw face end section adapted to be forced into a wedged interference contact position within the narrow gap space intersection that is formed between the front undershoulder of a hinge pin head and the hinge pin barrel enclosure top surface of a door hinge assembly. When the gear train is activated, the gear train forces the pry head mechanism to wedge the jaw face, disc-beveled pry wedge into the gap space intersection between the hinge pin front undershoulder and hinge pin barrel enclosure top surface to thereby push the hinge pin shaft vertically upward for subsequent removal from the hinge pin barrel housing enclosure.

A tile setting hand tool for setting floor tile in a bed of mortar comprises a base plate having an under surface and an upper surface, and having a length, L, a width, W, and a thickness, t. A number, N, of pins or nails is attached to the plate, each being spaced apart from one another and each depending a distance, d, from the plate under surface; and including a handle projecting upwardly from the plate upper surface. The plate is preferably constructed from wood. The dimensions L, W, and t are preferably twelve inches, three inches and one-half, respectively. The pins or nails are arranged in three parallel and side-by-side columns, each having nine equally spaced part pins or nails. Preferably finishing nails are used which project about three-quarters of an inch from the under surface of the plate. Plurality of columns and rows. Lower regions of at least side edges of the plate are beveled inwardly about 45 degrees to match beveled side edges of typical floor tiles.
