A further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure can be, for example, a coil arrangement, which can include a loops including a plurality of first conductors extending in a first direction; a plurality of second conductors extending in a second direction, where the first direction is different from the second direction, and a plurality of linking points linking the first conductors to the second conductors, where the loop(s) can be configured to stretch in a third direction, and a perimeter of the loop is constant. The third direction can be different from the first and second directions, or it can be the same as the first direction or the second direction. The linking points can mechanically and pivotally connect the first conductors to the second conductors. The linking points can include flexible conductors, or the linking points can link the first conductors and the second conductors to a substrate. The substrate can be a trellis substrate.

Trellis coil arrangement and methods for use thereof

In a magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus and a method for operation thereof, the radio-frequency (RF) resonator of the scanner of the apparatus fed from a single RF source and is operated, during a total scan duration for acquiring MR scan data from a subject, so as to excite nuclear spins in the subject with respective RF fields having different B1+ field profiles that are radiated at respectively different times during the acquisition of the scan data. The scan data acquired during the scan thus are produced from MR signals caused by nuclear spins excited by at least two different B1+ field profiles. The scan can be used to acquire MR data for MR fingerprinting.

Magnetic resonance apparatus and method for operation thereof with actively controllable radio-frequency coil profiles

A circular dipole antenna (e.g., for a magnetic imaging system) according to exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure can comprise a circular conductor with a feed point on one side and a gap on the other. A surface coil loop antenna (e.g., for magnetic imaging system) is provided with a capacitor arrangement selected for non-uniform or unbalanced current distribution, with corresponding magnetic and electric dipole fields provided in a single structure referred to as a loopole.

For example, the array arrangement can include a monopole array having a first end and a second end. The monopole array can be configured to be driven from the first end and from the second end. For example, the monopole array can include a first monopole element can include a first antenna element, and a first grounding element in communication with the first antenna element. Monopole array arrangement, computer-accessible medium and method for using the same

An apparatus can be provided that can include a plurality of electric dipole antenna arrangements, and a processing arrangement configured to receive a signal(s) from the electric dipole antenna arrangements, and generate a magnetic resonance image based on the signal(s). Each of the electric dipole antenna arrangements can have at least two poles extending in opposite directions from each other. One of the poles can have a curved shape, which can bifurcate and follow two mirror symmetric S-shapes.

In accordance with certain exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, provided herein are apparatus, systems and methods for, e.g., facilitating signal excitation and/or reception in a magnetic resonance system, such as, e.g., a system configured for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or spectroscopy. For example, exemplary embodiments of a method for traveling wave imaging in an MRI system can include, e.g., a circular conductive structure lying in a transverse plane within the scanner bore. The exemplary structure can be concentric with the center of the scanner RF shield. The structure can be arranged to have a resonant mode at the MR frequency characterized by a current pattern which can be configured to excite and receive an exemplary waveguide mode. The exemplary current pattern can be further configured to facilitate traveling wave imaging, for example.

Apparatus, systems and methods for facilitating signal excitation and/or reception in a magnetic resonance system

For example, the present disclosure provides exemplary embodiments of a coil arrangement that can include, e.g., a plurality of elements which can be provided at an angle from one another. The angle can be selected to effectuate an imaging of a target region of interest at least one of a predetermined depth or range of depths, for example. In certain exemplary embodiments according to the present disclosure, the angle can be selected to effectuate an exemplary predetermined transmit efficiency for at least one of the elements. Additionally, the exemplary angle can be selected to effectuate a predetermined receive sensitivity for at least one of the elements. Further, according to certain exemplary embodiments of a coil arrangement in according to the present disclosure, the angle can be adjusted manually and/or automatically.
