A wheelchair convertible into a gurney that includes a main frame, a rear frame and a supplemental rear frame pivotally secured to the rear frame. The main frame includes a back portion pivotally secured to a seat portion which is pivotally secured to a leg portion. The rear frame is pivotally secured to the back portion. A guide arrangement is provided that coacts with the supplemental rear frame and the main frame whereby the main frame is in a first position. The back portion, seat portion and leg portion are arranged so that they are in different planes and when the main frame is in a second position, the back portion, seat portion and leg portion are arranged so that they are in a gurney position.

Patient transport system

A method and apparatus for scaling a large commercial flight simulator into a more compact flight simulator, without losing the look and feel of a corresponding aircraft in-flight, by modifying movement of the motion platform to conform to the recommendations of one knowledgeable of the actual aircraft.

Flight simulators

A patient transport system for transporting a patient from a bed to a stretcher or vice versa, using a bed sheet and a conveyor attached to the bed or the stretcher. A first end of the sheet is removably attached to the conveyor and a second end of the sheet is free. The sheet is adapted to be positioned onto the patient supporting member of the bed or stretcher. The conveyor includes a roller received by bearings. The roller can be removably received by the bearings. The roller can also include a telescopic arrangement so that its length can be adjusted.

A patient transport system for transporting a patient from a bed to a stretcher or vice versa, using a bed sheet and a conveyor attached to the bed or the stretcher. A first end of the sheet is removably attached to the conveyor and a second end of the sheet is free. The sheet is adapted to be positioned onto the patient supporting member of the bed or stretcher. The conveyor includes a roller received by bearings. The roller can be removably received by the bearings. The roller can also include a telescopic arrangement so that its length can be adjusted. A pawl and ratchet assembly can be provided on the conveyor to prevent unwinding of the conveyor. The sheet is removably attached to the roller by adhesive tape or a clip arrangement. A flexible belt attaches the clip to the conveyor and is removably secured to the roller. The clip includes a body member having a recess with a plug received therein.

A cargo liner and cargo holder system includes a mat having a plurality of protrusions extending from a base. Locking members include a plurality of engagement members extending from a body and are adapted to engage with the protrusions of the mat. The mat includes a plurality of geometrically-shaped protrusions which can be octagonally shaped or cylindrically shaped. The locking members can be secured to boxes or other objects for securement to the mat. Engagement members engaged to the mat are able to move to a limited extent; this motion allows each engagement member to be captured by mat protrusions with the same degree of capture force. The mat also includes a lip extending around the perimeter of the mat for containment of any liquids therein. The mat also includes two layers, a polyethylene first layer and an olefin-friendly rubber layer. The locking members can be modified and secured to a bag-hanging device. Movable side members can be secured to the locking members for securement of boxes to the mat. Also disclosed is a method for making the mat.

Pickup truck unloader

A patient transport system for transporting a patient that includes a base, a patient supporting member attached to the base, a conveyor attached to the base (such as a bed or a gurney) and a removable sheet (such as a bed sheet) having a first end and a second end, the sheet first end removably attached to the conveyor, the sheet second end being free, wherein the sheet is adapted to be positioned onto the patient supporting member. The patient transport system can be used to transport an immobile patient between a bed and a gurney or vice versa. The sheet is removably attached to the conveyor by adhesive tape or a clip arrangement. A flexible belt attaches the clip to the conveyor. The clip includes a body member having a recess with a plug received therein. Also disclosed are methods for moving a patient from a bed and from a gurney and a method for changing a sheet on the bed of an immobile patient.

An apparatus for conveying materials from a vehicle flat bed having a back end, opposite sides spaced a distance apart and a tailgate hinged to the bed for movement between an open position and a closed position. The apparatus includes a roller having a length substantially equal to the length of the tailgate and a flat flexible belt having an underside adapted to slide along a sliding surface in the bed, wherein the belt attaches to the roller. The length of the belt is sufficient so that it can extend from the roller into at least a portion of the flat bed. The belt is adapted to be wound onto the roller. The roller attaches to the tailgate by a bracket and strap arrangement. The strap arrangement includes a tourniquet buckle. A crank handle is provided for rotating the roller. In operation, the flexible belt is extended into the flat bed area and bulk material can be placed thereon and then moved toward the roller when the roller is rotated, thereby depositing the bulk material on the ground.

A single ply polyester fabric of straight warp construction having at least 200 ends per inch of 1000 denier multifilament yarn in the warp direction and at least 18 picks per inch of 0.4 mm, monofilament yarn in the weft direction with a warp crimp of less than 2%. Preferably, the polyester fabric is impregnated with a nitrile and polyvinylchloride latex and has a polyurethane coating on one surface thereof. The single ply polyester fabric is particularly suitable for use as a belt in an automatic truck loading and unloading system.

Single ply polyester fabric and belt comprising the same

A loading and unloading system for trucks and trailer has a conveyor belt extending along a bed of a truck or trailer between front and rear wind-up rolls. For loading the vehicle the conveyor belt is wound onto the front roll and for unloading the vehicle it is wound onto the back roll. In order to prevent the belt from being pulled off the respective rolls a control system is provided which has a follower engaging the outer surface of the belt wound on one of the rolls. When the roll attains a predetermined maximum or minimum diameter depending on the amount of belt wound thereon, the follower operates a hydraulic valve to terminate the drive for the belt. The control operates in one direction responsive to a maximum predetermined diameter and in the other direction responsive to a minimum predetermined diameter.
