A grommet is provided with a small-diameter tubular portion that is fixated to an outer circumferential surface of a wire harness, a large-diameter tubular portion that is fixated to a through-hole of a fixed member, and an increasing-diameter tubular portion that connects the small-diameter tubular portion and the large-diameter tubular portion. The increasing-diameter tubular portion includes a small-diameter tubular portion-side end portion provided isolated from the small-diameter tubular portion on the outer circumference side of the small-diameter tubular portion, and a flexible connecting portion connecting an inner circumferential surface of the increasing-diameter tubular portion to the small-diameter tubular portion. A plurality of contact ribs are provided projecting from an outer circumferential surface of the increasing-diameter tubular portion, the contact ribs being arranged so as to be separated from each other in a circumference direction, each extending from the large-diameter tubular portion side toward the small-diameter tubular portion-side end portion.

Grommet

A grommet () is mounted on a burred part () formed on an inner periphery of a through hole () formed on a panel (). The grommet () includes a small-diameter tubular portion (), a large-diameter tubular portion () and a coupling () connecting the small-diameter tubular portion () and the large-diameter tubular portion (). The small-diameter tubular portion () is held in close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the wire (), and the a large-diameter tubular portion () is fit on an outer peripheral side of the burred part () of the panel (). A rib () projects from an inner peripheral surface of the coupling () and covers at least a part of an inner peripheral surface side of the burred part () of the panel ().

A protector includes a main body and a cover, which are a pair of T-shaped semi-annular sections formed by halving a T-shaped cylindrical body, and thin hinges connecting the main body and the cover. A setting jig is provided with a main body receiver including a main body receiving recess as an upper surface opening having a cross-sectionally arcuate shape and with a pressing wall projecting upward from one side end of the main body receiving recess. The cover of the protector in an open state is hooked and placed on the pressing wall; the main body is positioned and set above the main body receiving recess; and the T-shaped branch section of the wire harness is inserted into the main body and set into the main body receiving recess. Thereby, the cover is pressed by the pressing wall to rotate toward the main body; and locking hooks provided on the main body engage with locked portions provided on the cover, thus locking and closing the main body and the cover.
