A device for operating a braking system of a motor vehicle, including a first control unit for operating an ABS unit of the braking system and including a second control unit for operating a brake booster unit of the braking system. The control units are designed as application-specific integrated circuits and are connected to a microprocessor for their control, the microprocessor including a separate shut-off path for each of the circuits.

A method for operating an electric motor connectable via a switching device to a current source and connected in parallel with a freewheeling device, the switching device having control applied to it at a specific activation ratio within each working cycle to establish a desired effective operating voltage of the electric motor, so that in at least one operating mode each working cycle is includes an activation and a freewheeling time period. Method for operating an electric motor and corresponding electric motor device

A device and a method are provided for determining the after-run voltage of a direct current motor which is operated via cycled control. In normal operation the direct current motor is controlled via PWM control and a first specifiable pulse/no-pulse ratio. An evaluation unit is provided for determining an after-run voltage variable which is representative of the after-run voltage of the motor. Furthermore, for determining the after-run voltage variable the direct current motor is controlled via a specifiable, variable second pulse/no-pulse ratio.

A microcontroller system includes a microcontroller, a device which is controllable by the microcontroller, and a monitoring device. Under the control of a normal operation program, the microcontroller outputs a normal operation indicating signal. If the normal operation indicating signal is absent, the monitoring device transfers the device into a secured state and, if it is absent over a predefined period of time, locks the device in that state. When predefined exceptional conditions occur, the microcontroller changes to an operation preparation program, and the monitoring device increments a register. If the contents of the register reach a predefined value, the monitoring device locks the device in the secured state.

A circuit system for generating a stabilized power supply voltage, which, on the basis of a temperature quantity, selects an operating mode of a voltage regulator. In this context, it is provided, in particular, to apply the principles of the present invention to the supplying of voltage to electronic consumers in motor vehicles. During operation of the voltage regulator, a temperature quantity is recorded which is indicative of a quantity representing or influencing the operation of the voltage regulator. During active operation, the voltage regulator can be operated in at least two operating modes, and the current operating mode is selected as a function of the recorded temperature quantity.
