Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a magnetic sheet stack for an electric machine comprising: a plurality of magnetic sheets electrically insulated from one another by being spaced apart from one another predominantly with a non-vanishing clearance; a respective set of ceramic spacers distributed between each of the plurality of magnetic sheets from an adjacent sheet in the stack; and a respective gas layer filling a gap between a predominant part of a planar extent of each of the plurality of magnetic sheets allowing a cooling fluid to be circulated between the adjacent sheets.

Various embodiments of the teachings herein include an electric motor. In some embodiments, the motor includes: a stator; and a moving component comprising an iron-based soft-magnetic structural material including crystallites of a ferromagnetic iron-based alloy separated by grain boundaries, wherein there is interlayer-free contact between the crystallites at grain boundaries. The structural material comprises ceramic fibers. A content of the ceramic fibers is between 0.2% and 10% by volume. An aspect ratio of the ceramic fibers is less than 0.1.

Electric motor

In a method for producing a material sheet, in particular a metallic material sheet, a green body containing solid-state particles is sintered at a sintering temperature by heating the green body during sintering at least partly using microwave energy in accordance with a defined temperature profile having a heating phase and an essentially isothermal hold phase. A temperature of the green body is ascertained contactlessly with a sensor, and a supply of heat energy is controlled as a function of the temperature of the green body. During the heating phase an average microwave power is supplied and during the hold phase another average microwave power is supplied which is less than the one average microwave power.

In order to detect the current state of a system component, e.g. to display whether an electrical conductor, a cable or the like, is currently live, a field generator that generates a magnetic field in the environment of the system part is provided, which generator is connected to an organic magnetoresistive OMR semiconductor element that is arranged stationary in the environment of the system component to be monitored, and a voltage source for generating an electrical voltage between two electrodes of the OMR semiconductor element is provided. The device and the method can be fitted in a simple manner and cost-effectively to almost any system part, even at a later stage to already existing systems. A corresponding display shows the desired information locally limited and in the simplest manner: if the electric conductor is currently energized, an additional evaluation is not necessary.

Device and method for monitoring the state of a system component

Torque transmitted via a drive shaft of a motor is contactlessly determined using organic magnetoresistive semiconductor element, unlike known torque sensors that can generate greatly fluctuating measurement signals even at a constant torque. The organic magnetoresistive semiconductor element is mounted on a drive shaft or a coupling thereof. For this purpose, a field generator is provided, which is rigidly connected to the drive shaft or the clutch and which in the environment of the drive shaft generates a magnetic field that is dependent upon the torque. In the environment, the OMR semiconductor element is arranged to be stationary. The OMR semiconductor element has two electrodes between which a voltage source generates an electrical voltage.

Device for determining torque and associated measuring method

The apparatus for measurement of a current which is flowing in an axially elongated electrical conductor at a first electrical potential. The apparatus contains at least one associated sensor element associated with the conductor that is electrically isolated from it at a second electrical potential different from the first electrical potential of the electrical conductor, and having magnetoresistive characteristics. The sensor element is intended to form a loop which is magnetically closed around the conductor in the circumferential direction, with the resistance value being tapped off at axially opposite ends. Its magnetoresistive part is preferably composed of a non-metallic powder composite material with a high magnetoresistive effect.
