A metering valve having a valve housing, a channel, a valve body that can be moved in order to open and close the metering valve, and a spring, which applies a spring force to the valve body and thus keeps the valve body in a rest position. The spring is supported on at least one calibration body. The valve body, the spring, and the at least one calibration body are arranged in the channel, and the at least one calibration body is supported by a supporting component fastened in the valve housing by a material-bonding connection. A segment of the supporting component protrudes from the valve housing.

A method for producing a structured sheet-metal strip includes feeding a smooth sheet-metal strip to a shaping apparatus along a guiding direction. A primary structure is produced in the smooth sheet-metal strip through the use of the shaping apparatus, during which a number of separate shaping tools act upon the sheet-metal strip in a manner that is substantially perpendicular to the guiding direction. An apparatus for producing a structured sheet-metal strip can produce the structured sheet-metal strips with a particularly low ratio of corrugation length to corrugation height. Such structured sheet-metal strips are used, in particular, for producing purification components in mobile exhaust gas systems.

An apparatus for deforming a jacket tube of a honeycomb body includes a plurality of radially displaceable segments each having a sliding surface with a wedge-shaped cross section. At least one annular, axially displaceable closing element surrounds the segments and has at least one oblique surface sliding on the sliding surface. An actuating device connected to the closing element has an annular shape defining an opening through which the honeycomb body with the jacket tube can enter from one side and exit from the other side. A method for deforming a jacket tube on a honeycomb body includes passing the honeycomb body with the jacket tube through at least one tunnel-like calibrating station in which the jacket tube is deformed. A transport direction of the honeycomb body and the jacket tube during a production process is maintained during the deformation.
