A 2D collimator is disclosed for a radiation detector. In at least one embodiment, the 2D collimator includes 2D collimator modules arranged in series, wherein adjacent 2D collimator modules are glued together to establish a fixed mechanical connection to facing module sides, and wherein, on their free-remaining side, the outer 2D collimator modules have a retaining element for mounting the 2D collimator opposite a detector mechanism. A method for manufacturing such a 2D collimator is also disclosed.

A collimator is disclosed for a radiation detector including at least three spacing elements arranged on a radiation exit face of the collimator. In at least one embodiment, they are embodied so as to mount the collimator in a stable manner with respect to a radiation converter of the radiation detector. The at least three spacing elements enable a very precise and stable alignment of the collimator in respect of the radiation converter despite manufacturing-related curves or unevennesses in the radiation exit face and/or the mounting surface on the part of the radiation converter. At least one embodiment of the invention also relates to a manufacturing method for such a collimator, as well as a method for manufacturing a radiation detector.

An X-ray detector is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the X-ray detector includes a detector housing including a plurality of detector modules that extend into an interior space of the detector housing, the detector housing being designed to feed a coolant into the interior space. In order to cool the detector modules, in at least one embodiment the latter are respectively arranged on a hollow module carrier forming a cooling channel, it being possible for coolant to flow through the cooling channel during operation.

An X-ray detector includes a plurality of detector modules arranged in the interior of a detector housing. In at least one embodiment, the detector housing is designed to supply a coolant into the interior. In at least one embodiment, in order to cool the detector modules, each is provided with a heat sink element, which extends into the interior, through which a coolant flows during operation.

A detector module is disclosed, having an array of detector elements and a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board includes a first region for holding the array of detector elements and includes at least one second region, angled off relative to the first region. On this at least one second region, signal-processing electronics may be arranged. The vertical design of the detector module allows the design of an area detector to be produced on the basis of a multiplicity of detector modules arranged next to one another. The area detector may be provided for a computer tomograph.

A collimator is disclosed for a beam detector, having a number of juxtaposed collimator plates between which there is respectively arranged for stiffening the collimator, at least one supporting element that is constructed from a material transparent to X-rays and supports the collimator plates laterally.
