Hydraulic brake system with a priming pump for motor vehicles

An accumulator loading valve is provided which is adapted for elevated pressures, which requires but little space, and which has a pump connection (1), a reservoir connection (20), a priority valve (7) between the consumer connection and the accumulator connection, and a pilot valve (4) being controlled by the accumulator pressure. The improvement is that the operating piston of the two-position pilot valve (4) is prestressed by a spring (28) having a constant spring rate and that the cross section of the valve inlet (19) is smaller than the cross section of the valve discharge (20).

Disclosed is an anti-lock brake system of the type wherein the pressure applied on the wheel brakes can be decreased by discharging pressure fluid by way of a return line wherein the brake system includes a pump whose suction chamber communicates through a suction line with a reservoir and a return line is connected to the suction chamber.

A slip-controlled hydraulic brake system with improved operational reliability during the slip control phase of operation has a master cylinder having shortened overall axial length. The master cylinder includes a valve-opening mechanism of one central control valve supported on the bottom of the longitudinal bore of the master cylinder, and the valve-opening mechanism of another central control valve supported on the secondary piston wherein during a slip control action, in the presence of a predetermined travel of the pistons of the master cylinder, a force component is generated that increases the reliability of the opening of the central control valves.
