An image processing device that executes deformation of an image. A candidate area setting unit sets candidate areas, each of which includes a specific image, on a target image used as a target for a deformation process. An exclusion determination unit, when there is a candidate area that partially extends off a cropped image that is clipped from the target image through predetermined cropping, excludes the candidate area, which at least partially extends off the cropped image, from the target for the deformation process. A deformation processing unit performs deformation of an image on the candidate areas other than the excluded candidate areas.

An image processing device that executes deformation of an image includes a candidate area setting unit, an exclusion determination unit and a deformation processing unit. The candidate area setting unit sets candidate areas, each of which includes a specific image, on a target image used as a target for a deformation process. The exclusion determination unit, when there is an overlap between the candidate areas, excludes one or more candidate areas from the target for the deformation process so as to eliminate the overlap. The deformation processing unit performs deformation of the image on the candidate areas other than the excluded candidate areas.

Provided is a printer which receives inquiry information relating to the print setting sent from a host device, sends to the host device reply information based on its characteristic information in response to the received inquiry information, receives print setting information sent from the host device based on the reply information, requests print object data to the host device in accordance with the received print setting information, receiving the print object data sent from the host device in accordance to the request, and prints the received print object data. An image processing system is provided and includes a first receiving unit, a print control unit, a second receiving unit, a read control unit, and a composition unit. The first receiving unit receives an order-sheet request, and the print control unit causes a printer unit to print an area notation indicating a free rendering area on paper in accordance with the order-sheet request. The second receiving unit receives a scan request, and the read control unit causes an scan unit to read the paper on which a subject is recorded in the free rendering area in accordance with the scan request. Also, the composition unit composites an image of the free rendering area read by the scan unit in accordance with the scan request and the other image or images. A method that the system performs is also provided.

Image processing system and image processing method

An image forming system is provided and includes an access unit, a reductive color processing unit, an order sheet print control unit, a composition unit, and a composite print control unit. The access unit accesses a user image stored in a recording medium, the processing unit forms a background image by reducing a color gamut of the user image, and the order sheet print control unit causes a printer unit to create an order sheet on which the background image is printed in a free rendering area. Also, the composition unit separates an area of a subject recorded by a user in the free rendering area from an image of the free rendering area read by a scan unit based on a color gamut of the background image and superimposing the area of the subject on the user image to thereby form a composite image. Finally, the composite print control unit causes the printer unit to print the composite image. A method that the system performs is also provided.

A mode selector is operable to select either a first display mode or a second display mode. A controller is operable to cause each of a display and an operating section configured to perform a prescribed operation to be placed in either a first power mode in which a first level of power supplied from a power supply is consumed or a second power mode in which a second level of power supplied from the power supply which is lower than the first level is consumed, and operable to cause the display to display a first image in a case where the first display mode is selected, and to display a second image different from the first image in a case where the second display mode is selected. The controller is operable to cause the operating section to transit from the first power mode to the second power mode when the operating section does not perform the prescribed operation for a first time period. The controller is operable to cause the display to transit from the first power mode to the second power mode at least one of when the operating section does not perform the prescribed operation for a prescribed time period and when the actuator is not actuated for a prescribed time period. The controller is operable to disable the display from transiting from the first power mode to the second power mode in a case where the second display mode is selected.

Electronic apparatus

Diverse initiator modules, member modules, and terminator modules are provided to actualize various functionalities of a printer in various combinations of these modules. A data processing path controller DPC arranges a sequence of plural modules to execute a selected printing process. Each module is not informed of the structures of the other modules in combination or the details of the processing executed by the other modules. Each module that allows a relevant module to read data therefrom and each module that allows a relevant module to write data therein are designed to respectively have a specific function for the data reading and a specific function for the data writing. In response to a call from the data processing path controller DPC, these modules transfer pointers of the corresponding functions to the individual relevant modules and accordingly allow the individual relevant modules to read data therefrom and write data therein. This arrangement of the invention ensures consistency of an additional functionality, which is to be newly incorporated in the printer, with multiple existing functionalities.

Printing device, printing method, and program product therefor

The number of lines in each of at least two printing areas is detected each time a print head conducts main scanning by detecting the presence or absence of dots of dot-pattern data on a line basis, the two printing areas being obtainable separately with a blank area therebetween with lines free from being printed. A decision is made on a printing direction by deciding specialized one-way printing for printing a printing block in the same direction as the direction of an immediately prior printing pass or specialized two-way printing for printing the printing block in a direction in which the movement of the print head becomes minimized in value. The printing block is what is to be printed through the next main scanning according to the relation between the number of lines in each of the printing and blank areas and the number of dot-forming elements of the print head.
