A connector which makes it possible to take out a holding member thereof from a housing without breaking the housing. The housing is formed by a main housing and a sub housing connected to the main housing. The main housing is formed with a hole having a contact portion-accommodating portion and a contact-inserting portion. In the sub housing, there is formed a clip-accommodating hole which is opposed to the contact portion-accommodating portion and the contact-inserting portion in the directions of insertion and removal of the contact, when the sub housing is connected to the main housing. The inner diameter of the clip-accommodating hole is set to be larger than the inner diameter of the contact portion-accommodating portion and that of the contact-inserting portion. The clip is accommodated in the clip-accommodating hole.

Connector

A retaining clip is for securing an electrical connector to be inserted through an opening formed in a panel. The retaining clip comprises a base having an aperture therethrough for receiving the free end of the electrical connector and having one or more engagement means for engaging with and holding the electrical connector. The base is shaped to contact at least a portion of the surface of the panel that it overlies. A plurality of fingers extending away from the base are displaceable to allow insertion of a mating connector and to contact the surface of the mating connector. Thus, the clip shields the surface of the mating connector with respect to the panel.

Retaining clip

In a connector including a connector element to be connected to a mating connector in a predetermined direction, a ring-shaped guide member is engaged with the connector element in the predetermined direction to receive the mating connector. The guide member has a spring portion which is formed on its inner surface and is adapted to be pressed by the mating connector in a radially outward direction. The spring portion serves to stabilize the mating connector.

Connector which can easily be mounted to an object and provided with EMI protection

In a connector () to be connected to a circuit board (), a signal contact () is disposed between first and second ground contacts () and held by an insulator () together with the first and the second ground contacts. Each of the signal contact, the first ground contact, and the second ground contact has a terminal portion to be connected to the circuit board. The first ground contact has an extended portion extending from the terminal portion thereof towards the second ground contact. The first and the second ground contacts are cooperated with each other to substantially surround the terminal portion of the signal contact with using the extended portion.

Connector in which occurrence of crosstalk is suppressed by a ground contact

In each of a pluq and a receptacle of a multi-contact connector, a plurality of signal contacts and a plurality of ground contacts extend in parallel with one another and fixedly mounted in an insulator. The signal contacts are, in cross sectional view, arranged in rows and columns of a first matrix pattern, and the ground contacts are likewise arranged, in a second matrix pattern but with a displacement from each other by a half pitch in both of row and column direction. Each of the ground contacts is provided with blocking elements for blocking cross talk from occurrence between adjacent signal contacts. Each of the blocking elements is realized by a flange portion of each of the ground contacts which extends into a space between adjacent two of the signal contacts to shield them from each other.
