A subsea assembly can include a pressure control device having an annular seal configured to seal off an annulus formed between an outer housing and a tubular string, a connector, and a guide configured to guide the tubular string into an internal flow passage extending through the subsea assembly, the pressure control device being connected between the connector and the guide. A method can include assembling a subsea assembly with a pressure control device and a connector, the pressure control device including an outer housing and an annular seal, lowering the subsea assembly through water from a rig to a subsea wellhead installation, connecting the subsea assembly to the subsea wellhead installation, and positioning a tubular string in the subsea assembly, so that the annular seal seals against an external surface of the tubular string, the tubular string being exposed to the water between the rig and the subsea assembly.

Riser-less managed pressure operations

A riser extending from a floating rig includes one or more flow control devices having at least one flow connection and having at least one control connection. A riser manifold is disposed on the riser above the one or more flow control devices and has a first mechanical connector, a first flow coupling, and a first control coupling. A rig manifold can be manipulated by an arm to couple in an automated manner to the riser manifold when running the riser from the rig. The rig manifold has a second mechanical connector that mechanically connects to the first mechanical connector of the riser manifold. Additionally, the rig manifold has a second flow coupling mating with the first flow coupling of the riser manifold for conducting flow, and has a second control coupling mating with the first control coupling of the riser manifold for conducting control.

A method and apparatus for a debris barrier assembly having a sleeve, an outer housing assembly coupled to the sleeve, and first and second biasing members disposed within the outer housing assembly. A support member is coupled to the sleeve and is in contact with an end of the first and second biasing members. The debris barrier assembly is coupled to a polished bore receptacle to prevent debris from entering the PBR. The debris barrier assembly is operable to compensate for a pressure differential between the internal region of the PBR and the external region of the surrounding wellbore. The debris barrier assembly and the PBR may be run in the wellbore on a work string, and the sleeve may be actuated to actuate a downhole tool connected to the sleeve to perform a downhole operation. The debris barrier assembly may be retrieved from the wellbore using the work string.

A rotating control device housing includes an upper riser flange; a lower riser flange; a latch section for receiving a bearing assembly and connected to the upper riser flange; a port section connected to the latch section by a flanged connection, having an outlet for discharging fluid flow diverted by the bearing assembly, and connected to the lower riser flange; and a jumper connected to the upper and lower riser flanges.

The present invention generally relates to an expandable liner hanger capable of being expanded into a surrounding casing. In one aspect, an expandable tubular system is provided. The system includes an expandable tubular. The system further includes an expansion swage for expanding the expandable tubular, wherein the expansion swage is deformable from a compliant configuration to a smaller substantially non-compliant configuration. Additionally, the system includes a restriction member disposed on an exterior surface of the expandable tubular, wherein expansion of the expandable tubular in the location of the restriction member deforms the expansion swage from the compliant configuration to the smaller substantially non-compliant configuration. In another aspect, a method of expanding a liner hanger using a cone is provided.
