An agricultural windrower includes a traction unit having a frame. A cutting platform has a longitudinal extension, a feeder opening associated with a first mounting location, and a first hitch at an end of the cutting platform associated with a second mounting location. A lift assembly carried by the traction unit frame is configured to mount with the cutting platform at the first mounting location. An articulated transport arrangement is mounted to the traction unit frame. The articulated transport arrangement includes a second hitch configured for mating with the first hitch, and at least one actuator for coupling between and adjusting a relative angular orientation between the frame and the cutting platform when the first hitch and the second hitch are mated together.

A draper cutting platform for use with an agricultural harvester includes a pair of side platform sections, with each side platform section including a side belt. A center platform section is disposed in an area between the side platform sections. The center platform section includes at least one alignment device and at least one latch. A center conveyor assembly is removably attached to the center platform section, and carries a center belt. The center conveyor assembly includes at least one mating alignment device and at least one mating latch.

An implement, such as a header for a combine, having an integral transport system with a pair of ground engaging wheels that are moved between transport positions used in transporting the implement and stowed positions on the implement during use of the implement. The wheels may be used as gauge wheels during use to support the ends of the implement. A trailer tongue is retractable and stowed onboard the implement during use, as is a tongue jack. Lights are provided at the end of the implement for visibility during transport. The lights are stowed beneath a cover on the end of the implement to protect the lights from damage during use. All components of the transport system are carried on the implement during use to ensure that they are with the implement when needed to transport the implement. All components are mounted with pins, enabling the implement to be converted between transport and use configurations without the use of hand tools.

A non-binding reel mount for a harvester platform includes added clearance between the sidewalls of a reel mounting bracket and the reel lifting arms. Side bushings are provided between the brackets and the arms at the center of the arms to prevent lateral motion of the brackets relative to the arms but enable twisting or rotation of the brackets relative to the arms. The non-binding reel mount thus enables one lift cylinder to be fully extended without causing binding between the reel mounting brackets and the reel support arms during a cylinder charging operation. The reel mount can be designed to provide the desired amount of vertical adjustment to the reel. In an alternative embodiment, a single bushing is provided at the top of the support arm that extends between the two sidewalls of the mounting bracket and wraps around the upper corners of the support arm to prevent lateral shifting while permitting rotation of the mounting bracket on the support arm.

An end knife guard for a cutterbar assembly has a body portion forming a lower section and an upper section spaced in relation to one another to define a horizontal slot within which a knife section is confined, and freely movable. The lower section has an inboard lateral side edge that forms a cutting surface. An outboard lateral side edge forms a surface that tapers laterally inward from the forward end of the body portion to form an open area for discharge of trash at the end of the cutterbar assembly. The tapered outboard edge is positioned adjacent to the upright wall of a platform end divider cover. Such that the open area for discharge of trash is between the guard outboard edge and the divider cover, allowing trash to drop from the guard while maintaining the divider cover outer wall close to the end of the cutterbar assembly.

A hitch flexing hinge included within the draft beams of an implement frame of the type that enables vertical flexing of the frame sections. The hinge includes a yoke attached to the drawbar of a draft vehicle and a body section that is received in one end of the draft beam. The body portion carries a swivel ball and attachment of the draft beam to the swivel ball allows rotational twisting of the draft beam about its longitudinal axis as the implement frame sections flex.

A forwardly foldable implement frame having a horizontal pivot or flex hinge to enable vertical flexing of the wing sections to follow the ground contour. The frame includes a pair of cam bumpers rigidly attached to the wing beam in near proximity to the flex hinge. Folding of the wing sections toward one another causes the cam bumpers to contact and automatically lock out the flex hinge.

A transmission and drive assembly for a planter that can be transversely positioned on and selectively clamped on the planter frame at desired locations out of interfering relationship with the planting units. The transmission is at the end of the frame outside of the outermost planter unit but may be easily repositioned on the frame as is necessary. A ground wheel assembly is secured to so as to optionally extend to the front or rear of the frame. It may also be adjusted transversely to accommodate adjustments in the row spacings. The dual assembly includes a countershaft journaled on both the transmission and the wheel assembly bracket and driven by the ground wheel through ratchet assemblies. The transmission is also securable to the frame to extend either to the front or the rear thereof. A crossover drive assembly is provided for transferring drive from the front to the rear of the frame when the transmission is mounted to extend to the front of the frame. The arrangement of components facilitates transverse positioning of the transmission and drive assembly so that row spacings can be adjusted as desired.
