A loading device for insertion of cartridges into a revolver moon clip, which has a base ( &prime;) with a cylindrical post ( &prime;) in the center covered by an adapter sleeve ( ). The adapter sleeve has a hexagonal shaped top that holds the moon clip in place. A number of loading levers ( &prime;) that have individual inwardly sloping radial cavities ( ) are pivotally attached to the body and are disposed between a pair of upright guides ( ) in the base. The levers are held in an open position allowing cartridges to be inserted into each of the cavities. After the cartridges are placed in the lever cavities and the moon clip is placed over the adapter sleeve the levers are manually compressed together in pairs snapping them into the recesses in the moon clip. The loaded clip is removed by lifting with the operators thumb and forefinger. A second embodiment functions in the same manner except the body ( ) contains a series of inwardly sloping radial cavities ( ) and a hexagonal post ( ) is located in the center of the body with the loading levers ( ) attached to the body in the middle of the inwardly sloping radial cavities.

Moon clip cartridge loading device

A method and apparatus for providing preconditioned air to a parked aircraft is disclosed. The apparatus includes a booster unit (10) adapted for association with an existing preconditioned air unit (12). The booster unit (10) includes an auxiliary compressor (112), an auxiliary evaporator (109) and an auxiliary condenser (100 and 100A). These auxiliary elements are interconnected by suitable conduit (114, 115, and 118) and an expansion valve (116). The booster unit (10) is associated with the preconditioned air unit (12) whereby the condenser fan(s) (82 and 84) of that unit is utilized to cool the condenser(s) (100 and 100A) of the booster unit (10). The method includes positioning the booster unit (10) in the air inlet of the preconditioned air unit (12); replacing either the condenser fan(s) (82 and 84) and/or the evaporator blower fan (38) of the preconditioned air unit (12) with a fan (38A or 82A and 84A) having a higher air flow rate capacity; and thereafter drawing air over the auxiliary condenser (100 and 100A) of the booster module (10) by means of the condenser fan (82 and 84 or 82A and 84A) of the preconditioned air unit (12), and also drawing air through the auxiliary evaporator (109) by operation of the P/C air blower fan (38) or (38A).

Method and apparatus for supplying preconditioned air to a parked

A portable self contained air conditioner which has a platform base (20) with an enclosure (22) attached on top. A recropricating engine (38) is resiliently mounted on the platform with a propeller fan (44) on the front drive and a blower (46) directly attached to the flywheel on the back. A refrigerant compressor (54) is also directly coupled to the engine flywheel with a universal joint drive shaft (56). A drive shaft adapter (60) registers to the flywheel on one end and to the drive shaft on the other with the blower impeller (50) sandwiched in between. A vapor cycle refrigerant system provides the cooling effect and an electrical control system furnishes the operational direction. The engine cooling is integral with the refrigeration system utilizing an additional section of the condenser coil (66) and the same air movement supplied by the propeller fan on the engine. The preferred embodiment includes a pair of closely spaced tandem wheels on each side and the internal component location allows a balanced center of gravity for portability. The blower employs a circular outlet at right angles to the plane of the impeller directing the pressurized air to exit at 90 degrees to the plane of the blower. Optional heating is supplied by a hydraulic system in conjunction with jacket water from the engine heating the conditioned air stream.

Portable unitary aircraft air conditioner and heater

A cammed latch is provided with two spaced cams each of which has a cam profile made up of two arcuate sections separated by a cusp. The cusp portion constitutes an interference fit during opening end closing. The latch structure is resiliently mounted to flanges which flex to permit the striker rods to pass over the cusps. A torsion spring provides a closing bias in all positions of the latch.

Latch

A modular air conditioner package for circulating conditioned air within a transportable cargo container. The package includes a standard fan deck and evaporator unit that can be selectively mated inside the container along either the front or the top wall in a blow through or draw through configuration. The fan deck is mounted at the top front corner of the container and can be joined to the evaporator unit to provide four separate options for directing conditioned air downwardly along the front wall or rearwardly along the top wall of the container depending on the type of load being transported.

A permanent magnet rotor comprising a housing defining a central rotor axis, an inner ring secured within the housing and annularly extending around the rotor axis, a plurality of permanent magnets supported within the housing and annularly spaced around the inner ring, and an outer ring secured within the housing, annularly extending around the permanent magnets, and including a plurality of outer ring segments. The rotor further comprises filler material filling spaces between adjacent permanent magnets and adjacent outer ring segments; and a plurality of damper plates located radially outside the filler material, engaging the housing, and engaging and extending between adjacent outer ring segments.

Permanent magnet rotor

A transport refrigeration machine for conditioning the interior of a trailer comprising a frame, a refrigerant compressor, a condenser assembly, and an evaporator assembly. The evaporator assembly includes a housing, a heat exchanger extending within the housing for conducting the refrigerant fluid therethrough, and heat exchanger support apparatus connecting the heat exchanger to the frame to support the heat exchanger independently of the housing. The evaporator assembly further comprises a blower unit extending within the housing to circulate air therethrough, and blower unit support apparatus connecting the blower unit to the frame to support the blower unit independently of the housing.

Transport refrigeration machine

A combination fuel tank and carrying rack for a motor driven cycle with a rectangular tank having a fill pipe on the top with a cap and a gravity type fuel system. The top of the tank includes vertical side legs with slots and parallel rubrails to attach items for transporting. The tank further contains undercarriage arms and struts attaching directly to the motorcycle through fasteners provided thereon. Other embodiments include a travel trunk mounting channel attached rotatably to the side legs and a backrest with a cushion on the forward end.

A method for assembling a permanent magnet rotor by mounting the magnets and the appropriate electrical steel laminations between two retaining discs. The laminations and magnets are then forced into position by a pneumatic expansion tool. The retaining discs after the components are positioned are riveted to secure the laminations and the magnets which are further encapsulated in the retaining discs with an epoxy resin.
