A technique is disclosed for creating a GraphQL Application Programing Interface (API) schema by introspecting various different types of backend datasources. The technique includes receiving a selection of a datasource type to create a GraphQL API schema and introspecting the selected datasource type to determine a set of individual elements associated with the selected datasource type. The technique involves outputting the set of individual elements associated with the selected datasource type via a User Interface (UI) screen of a computer system. The technique further includes receiving a selection of one more individual elements associated with the selected datasource type via a UI screen of the computer system. The technique includes generating a GraphQL API schema comprising a set of objects and a set of resolver functions based on the selected elements and presenting the GraphQL API schema via a UI screen associated with the computer system.

A computer-readable medium, computer-implemented method, and system for manipulating an object is provided. In one embodiment, an object which include one or more object references is converted into an intermediate object for serialization. In another embodiment, an object is restored from an intermediate object that has been deserialized so that the object includes one or more object references.

A system and method are provided for providing object change information through a network. The local object persistence system distributes the information regarding the change to the object by the synchronization executor through a communication link. The remote object persistence system that has established the communication link with the local object persistence system obtains the distributed object change information. The object change information is used to update the database and update an object cache for storing the object.

A bi-directional relationship manager is described for setting a new reference value for managing bi-directional relationships between objects in an object model. The bi-directional relationship manager receives bi-directional relationship information indicating interrelation between objects having one or more bi-directional relationships. It creates proxy objects based on the bi-directional relationship information for selected bi-directional relationship objects having bi-directional relationships. A created proxy object receives a new reference value to be set in a selected object relating to a bi-directional relationship. It determines, using one or more of the proxy objects, a new peer value to be set in a peer object which has the bi-directional relationship with the selected object, and sets the new peer value to a proxy object created for the peer object. It may also update reference values of other related objects that are related to the selected object through one or more bi-directional relationships to reflect the change in references.
