A vehicle diagnostic display unit including a case, a display screen disposed within a front portion of the case, and a main support coupled to a side of the case and having a finger compartment for receiving a user's fingers to allow the user to lift the vehicle diagnostic display unit using one hand. A navigation pad is disposed on a front surface of the main support and the main support is configured to allow a user to simultaneously lift the diagnostic display unit and access the navigation pad with a thumb. The display unit also includes a combination folding stand and hanger assembly that allows the unit to be stood up for display, or hung for display, in a hands-free manner, such that a user is free to use both hands for other purposes while still being able to view the display screen.

A vehicle diagnostic display unit including a case, a display screen disposed within a front portion of the case, and a main support coupled to a side of the case for allowing a user to lift the vehicle diagnostic display unit with one hand. The display unit also includes a user-replaceable, transparent protective cover that attaches to the front portion of the case over the display screen. The display unit and the protective cover include novel features that allow the protective cover to be replaced by a user without having to return the display unit to the manufacturer.

A detachable cartridge unit and an auxiliary unit combined forms a functional component for a data processing system. The cartridge unit is configured to receive a variety of auxiliary units in order to form different functional components and perform different functions. The circuit board of the cartridge unit contains circuits and components common to each functional component. The auxiliary unit contains components and circuits unique to the function that the auxiliary unit represents. The cartridge unit comprises a circuit board, a housing containing the circuit board, a first connector coupled to the circuit board for connecting to a data processing system, a second connector coupled to the circuit board, and a grip movably connected to the housing with a hinge. The auxiliary unit includes an auxiliary circuit board, an auxiliary connector coupled to the auxiliary circuit board for detachably connecting to the second connector, an auxiliary housing containing the auxiliary circuit board, a guide for guiding the auxiliary connector to connect to the second connector via a predetermined path, and an auxiliary grip movably connected to the auxiliary housing with a hinge.

A vehicle diagnostic display unit is provided for performing diagnostic procedures on a vehicle using only one hand. The vehicle diagnostic display unit includes a case, a display screen, a main support, and a plurality of keys. The case has a front portion, a rear portion, a top portion, and a bottom portion. The display screen is disposed within the front portion, and the main support is coupled to a side of the case. The main support is configured such that a user can simultaneously lift and operate the diagnostic display unit with a single hand.

A system for obtaining positional information about a vehicle includes a vision imaging system and a vehicle position adjustment mechanism for moving the vehicle between at least two positions for detection by the vision imaging system. The vehicle position adjustment mechanism includes a body, surface support wheels, a motor, and a controller. The body engages the vehicle, and the controller controls the direction and distance the vehicle position adjustment mechanism moves the vehicle. The surface support wheels are connected to the body and support the body on a surface. The motor drives the vehicle between the at least two positions.

Single-hand held display unit

A wheel balancer comprises a main housing which supports a sub-housing. A main shaft to which a wheel to be balanced is coupled is rotatable in the sub-housing. The sub-housing is pivotally connected to the main housing by a pivot shaft which defines a horizontal main pivot axis extending transversely of the rotational axis of the main shaft. The sub-housing is pivotal from a horizontal position to a vertical position with the main shaft extending upwardly of the sub-housing to facilitate coupling of the wheel to the main shaft.
