A tandem wheel assembly for a work vehicle includes a tandem wheel housing having a center opening disposed about a pivot axis and first and second wheel end openings disposed about associated first and second wheel axes that are substantially parallel with the pivot axis. A center sprocket within the tandem wheel housing is rotatable about the pivot axis. First and second wheel end assemblies include first and second wheel end shafts, sprockets and housings. The first and second wheel end sprockets are mounted to the associated shafts and are aligned to engage the center sprocket with at least one chain which transfers rotation of the center sprocket about the pivot axis to rotate the first and second wheel end sprockets about the associated first and second wheel axes. The first and second wheel end housings support the first and second wheel end shafts for relative rotation about the associated first and second wheel axes. The first wheel end housing is adjustably mounted to the tandem wheel housing to vary a first distance between the pivot axis and the first wheel axis.

A work machine has a backup camera that captures images of an area of a worksite behind the work machine. A controller identifies pre-defined markings in the worksite and localizes the pre-defined markings to the work machine, based on the images. A control signal generator generates control signals to automatically control the work machine based upon the localized markings.

Using generated markings for vehicle control and object avoidance

A sensor-augmented system for optimizing the loading parameters of a work machine to engage a pile. The system comprises a sensor coupled with the work machine where the sensor is configured to collect image data of the pile in a field of view of the sensor; a sensor processing unit communicatively coupled with the sensor where the sensor processing unit is configured to calculate a volume estimation of the pile based on the image data; and a vehicle control unit communicatively coupled with the sensor processing unit to modify a loading parameter of the work machine in response to a calculated predictive load based on the volume estimation and stored data to identify material type of the pile.

Control system for a work machine

A loader linkage having a bucket and boom arm mounted to the loader vehicle by way of top and bottom links, the top link being pivotally coupled with a structural member of the vehicle that extends upwardly from the vehicle frame generally at the rear of or behind the operator station. The top link is coupled to the structural member at a point generally above and behind the operator seated on the vehicle. The linkage establishes a bucket path that extends generally vertically initially and that then extends forwardly through the entire range of upper motion of the bucket. The linkage causes the bucket to achieve maximum reach at the bucket's maximum height. The orientation of the top link also reduces the vehicles tendency to tilt rearwardly onto the rear wheel's during leveling operations.

Boom arm linkage mechanism

A rearwardly swinging operator enclosure is provided for a skid-steer loader having vertical lift arms. The enclosure, as well as the links coupling the lift arms to the loader are both pivotally mounted high on laterally spaced apart support posts carried at the rear of the enclosure. The raised pivotal mountings permit the enclosure to swing rearwardly and high above the loader components housed beneath the enclosure to allow maintenance activities to be conveniently carried out from the front of the loader. The raised pivotal mountings further permit the use of a cross member to reinforce both the support posts and lift arm links and yet avoid interference with swinging movement of the enclosure or lift links. With the cross member positioned near the top of the support posts, rear visibility is enhanced.

A skid steer loader control linkage engageable by an operator for controlling speed and direction of the vehicle. The control linkage operatively engages a roll over protection structure that is shiftable between a lowered operating position and a raised position whereat vehicle compartments are exposed for access by the operator. The engagement of the control linkage against the roll over protection structure shifts the control linkage between an operative position and an inoperative position as the roll over protection structure shifts between the raised and lowered positions.
