A liquid dispensing device includes a handle having a hollow interior defining a fluid reservoir. A base member is affixed to the lower end of the handle and has a bottom surface, and a frangible cover is secured over the bottom surface and forms a seal across the opening of the fluid reservoir. A swab head comprising an absorbent sponge-like member and a button element is supported on the base member. The sponge-like member has opposing outer and inner sides wherein the inner side is affixed to the base member. The button element includes a foot portion at a first longitudinal end adjacent to the outer side of the sponge-like member and includes a penetration end at an opposing second longitudinal end of the button element.

A liquid dispensing device including an elongated handle having a hollow interior defining a fluid reservoir. A base member is affixed to a lower end of the handle and a frangible cover is secured over a bottom surface of the base member and forms a seal across an opening of the fluid reservoir. A swab head supports an absorbent sponge-like member and includes an upper side supporting a cover-rupturing member. A hinge segment is affixed to the base member and to the swab head, the hinge segment defining a pivot axis about which the swab head pivots to move the swab head from an open position with the cover-rupturing member spaced from the frangible cover to a closed position with the cover-rupturing member extending through the frangible cover and into the opening of the fluid reservoir.

A medical site cover for a needle-free intravenous connector having a septum area and external threads. The medical site cover includes an elastomeric cap having an opening to an inner cavity. The inner cavity includes a first chamber adapted for receiving and surrounding the connector and a second chamber located between the first chamber and a closed end of the cap. A compressible member formed of an absorbent material is located in the second chamber, wherein the compressible member is a sphere.

A nasal retention system for securing a nasal tube extending through a nose of a patient. The retention system comprises a clip member formed of a soft elastomeric material and including first and second pivotally connected clip portions. Each of the clip portions have a generally hemispherical shape such that a generally spherical shape is defined when the clip portions are pivoted together. The first clip portion includes an elongated nasal tube channel extending into the first clip portion, and extending between diametrically opposite sides of a perimeter of the first clip portion. The elongated channel receives a nasal tube therethrough when mating surfaces of the two clip portions are in mating engagement with each other.

A safety needle assembly including a medical needle and a needle protection assembly. The needle protection assembly includes a cover member surrounding a portion of the medical needle and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. A base sub-assembly of the needle protection assembly is attached to an end of the cover member and includes a base plate defining a through hole receiving the medical needle therethrough in the retracted condition of the needle protection assembly. A needle stop member, including an integrally formed spring portion and stop plate, is positioned on a planar side of the base plate, and the spring portion biases the stop plate in linear movement to cover the hole in response to movement of the needle protection assembly to the extended condition.

A fill cap for a drink container for receiving an open end of a drink bottle. The fill cap includes a cylindrical collar and an annular flange extending radially inwardly from the cylindrical collar. A valve structure is connected to and surrounded by the annular flange and in includes a pair of generally planar lip members. Each lip member has an outer portion adjoining the inner edge of the flange and the lip members converge at an angle axially downwardly to inner edges where the lip members adjoin each other at a slit. A pair of opposing side walls extend from the flange to edges of the lip members located axially downwardly from the flange. The slit is configured to receive the bottle neck therethrough.

A valve for controlling fluid flow through a flow passage. The valve includes a tubular valve body defining a longitudinal axis and having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The valve body defines first and second valve ends and a tip portion is supported on the valve body and located at the second valve end. A cap member is supported on the valve body and includes a closed end formed by an end wall having an aperture for receiving the tip portion. The aperture includes a lip portion surrounded a groove on an interior of the cap member to facilitate a pressure seal between the aperture and the tip portion.

The present invention is a multi-dose device for insertion into a vial containing a fluid. The device has a double-nested needle inserter for insertion into the vial. Opposite the double-nested needle inserter is an air opening stack and a Luer lock port.

A valve for controlling fluid flow through a flow passage. The valve includes a tubular valve body defining a longitudinal axis and having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The valve body defines first and second valve ends and a tip portion is supported on the valve body and located at the second valve end. A cap member is supported on the valve body and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface and is positioned over the second valve end for movement in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The cap member includes an open end and a closed end, and the closed end is formed by an end wall having an aperture for receiving the tip portion. The cap member is movable in a first direction toward the first valve end to position the cap member in a closed position with the tip portion extending through the aperture to prevent fluid flow through the valve body, and the cap member is movable in a second direction away from the first valve end to position the cap member in an open position with the aperture displaced from the tip member to permit fluid flow through the valve body.
