A storage shelf for use in an extended cab type pickup is disclosed. The shelf consists of a folding tray having extendable outer edges for adjustment to fit most models of extended cab pickups. The shelf is laterally secured at either end to the interior molding of the pickup by the use of notches which fit into the contours of the molding. The surface of this shelf is surrounded by rails which extend around the outside of the tray. The effect of this is to provide an easily accessible place to store personal items. In addition, the lateral strength of the present invention is enhanced by the use of hinge braces, a rear side support block which helps support the rear edge of the shelf, and a support leg which extends from the front edge of the shelf to the floor of the pickup. These features allow for the storage of heavy objects on the present invention.

Extended cab pickup storage tray

A reusable isolation structure features an easily cleanable shell. The opening of the shell includes a groove formed around the periphery thereof and is preferably not more than slightly smaller than an interior cross-section of the shell. A closure member (door) of the isolation structure is dimensioned to fit within the opening and has a resilient seal member clamped to the periphery of a backbone by front and rear plates. The front and rear plates cooperate with grooves formed in the backbone to define a preferred form of manifold for coupling pressure or a vacuum to the interior of the resilient seal member whereby the resilient seal member may be collapsed to allow removal of the closure member or allowed to expand or pressurized to provide secure closure member. A vacuum structure for handling the closure member simultaneously provides for evacuation and controlled collapse of the resilient seal member as well as containment of contamination of the exterior thereof.

Door opening system and method

A reusable isolation structure features an easily cleanable shell having viewing windows formed therein, each protected by a framing ridge or a recess integrally formed in the shell provides protection of contents from contamination, impact, vibration and tampering. Framing ridges or recesses also facilitate stacking of shells. The closure member opening of the shell includes a groove formed around the periphery thereof and is preferably not more than slightly smaller than an interior cross-section of the shell. A door of the isolation structure is dimensioned to fit within the closure member opening and has a resilient seal clamped to the periphery of a backbone by front and rear plates. The front and rear plates cooperate with grooves formed in the backbone to define a preferred form of manifold for coupling pressure or a vacuum to the interior of the resilient seal whereby the resilient seal may be collapsed to allow removal of the door or allowed to expand or pressurized to provide secure closure. Filters and vapor and moisture drains are carried by the door structure. The door also provides a smooth interior surface of the isolation structure of closely controlled and accurately repeatable dimensions. A vacuum plate for handling the door simultaneously provides for evacuation and controlled collapse of the resilient seal as well as containment of contamination of the exterior thereof.

Isolation structure for contamination sensitive items

A hinged cover encloses a projecting portion of a deadbolt lock, the projecting portion having a keyhole therein. The cover includes two shells, each having an inwardly directed flange thereon. By means of a retainer unit provided with a groove, the flanges are received in the groove to prevent removal of the cover when an auxillary lock is employed to keep the cover in its mated relationship so as to conceal the projecting portion of the deadbolt lock and the keyhole contained therein.

The accessory locking device including hingedly connected shells having confrontable flanges that have convexly curved outer surface portions, each flange having a notch therein. A keeper tube has a slot so that the keeper tube is longitudinally slidable over the convexly curved portions of said flanges. Secured to the keeper tube is an auxiliary cylindrical lock having a projectable and retractable bolt, said bolt being projectable through a hole in the keeper tube so as to provide obstructive interference with the notches in said flanges. In this way, the keeper tube cannot be slidably withdrawn from the flanges until the bolt is fully retracted from the notches.
