A human machine interface (HMI) configured to provide visualizations of one or more device elements that correspond to one or more components in an industrial automation system on an HMI screen. The HMI includes computer-executable instructions stored on a tangible machine-readable medium configured to determine whether at least one of the device elements is associated with an error and modify at least one graphic that corresponds to the at least one of the device elements when the one of the device elements is associated with the error.

Systems and methods for error detection and diagnostics visualization

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having stored thereon program instructions to facilitate the display of multiple errors is provided. The program instructions, when executed by a computing system, direct the computing system to at least initiate display of a graphical view of an industrial automation environment. The program instructions also direct the computing system to detect a plurality of error conditions related to machine operations within the industrial automation environment, and to determine a plurality of locations within the graphical view associated with the plurality of error conditions. The program instructions further direct the computing system to identify at least one group of error conditions from the plurality of error conditions based on the plurality of locations, and to initiate display of a graphical representation of the at least one group of the error conditions.

Method and apparatus for the display of multiple errors on a human-machine interface

A system for scaling visualizations may include a human machine interface (HMI) configured to display a visualization on a screen, a secondary display device configured to display a scaled visualization such that the scaled visualization is determined based at least in part on the visualization, and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive an indication that the secondary display device has been coupled to the HMI, present two or more scaling mode options on the screen or the secondary display device, receive an input that corresponds to one of the scaling modes, generate the scaled visualization by applying a scaling factor to the visualization, wherein the scaling factor is based at least in part on the input, and facilitate sending the scaled visualization to the secondary display device.

Systems and methods for scaling visualizations

System(s), device(s), and method(s) provide automated configuration of operator interface(s) in an industrial control system, the automated configuration is based at least on control logic that regulates a process and associated equipment in an industrial environment. A terminal that renders control data can acquire the control logic and associate a set of control data structures therein to one or more display objects, which can be retained in a set of libraries stored in the terminal. Based at least on the association, the terminal automatically generates a rendering project that can render an operator interface that conveys control data according to the control logic. A mapping enables association amongst a control data structure and a display object; the mapping can include relationships amongst display objects for numerous domains of industrial control. The operator interface can be refined autonomously or through external data received at the terminal and associated with predetermined event(s).
